  1. Didn't know you knew them that well, Dick 😂😂😂
  2. Cook was easily the best and most entertaining rider on show at Peterborough yesterday. Very quick and gained many points from behind. Only been riding a few years, can only see him getting better in my opinion. A victim of his own rapid success.
  3. Great to see the kids give it there all. Swiftly run meeting that keeps the interest going. I keep hearing how our problem is we have no youth policy. Well Neil Vatcher and team take a bow, the youth scheme looks in good shape to me. Bravo 👍👏
  4. I applaud your positivity, would feel the same if our top 2 were not missing. Hey oh, let's see the youngsters in action.
  5. Sounds like Lynn was slick this week. That would suit little big bear, doesn't like the dirt. Ex MX riders tend to handle deeper tracks better.

That's probably the average time it takes to read the rule book.

You are right. Maybe it's because we have no allegiance to the club, no impact on my team - we think more of the person, rather than how it effects our club. The boy is exhausted, he managed to complete a fixture for each club prior to taking a much needed break. He a 23 World Champion and taken on too much, but still always trying to promote the sport. Give him a break, he's served you well in the past and will again. He appears very loyal to Wolves, reciprocate.
  9. Understand what he said but I view it as could have gone either way. I think there are a number of instances in a race, especially during lap 1, to rerun with all 4.

Rode in Saturday GP, then raced for all the teams he rides for on consecutive nights, Poland, UK and Sweden despite being exhausted. The timing of the announcement influenced the back lash. Looks completely knackered and guess he regrets signing for 3 teams, given other commitments. Best opportunity to have a Brit win back to back World titles so understand the decision, albeit maybe should have communicated after the Sweden meeting.
  11. It didn't, therefore irrelevant. Just my opinion in this instance. Could have gone either way which is why we have divided opinions. All 4 back, in my opinion.

    Wolverhampton 2014

Finally watched The Life of Tai last night, not surprised at all as looked knackered, that was from some weeks ago. Taken far too much on. Must have faced some hefty consequences if he hadn't done the Sweden meeting - can't imagine he wanted it.
  13. Finally got round to watching the TV version, dam tough call. Not in a position in the stadium to know if right call or not. Having watched it, several times, all 4 back would have been my decision. Irrelevant of what meeting it was.
  14. Prague is an amazing City but it's usually the worst GP, the track never produces good racing. If you can put up with that you will have a great time.
  15. Difficult to top the Cardiff experience but The Polish GP's usually create a great atmosphere - apart from this years at Bydgoszcz, result of an internal dispute and stance from Polish fans.

Well said. Where else in the UK do you see a City painted totally Speedway. Streets, bars, shops, cafés, hotels all Speedway themed - you can talk the sport with so many different supporters. Whereas at most venues up and down the country you wouldn't even know there was a meeting on. As you say, that's what needs addressing, Cardiff has it sorted. Fantastic weekend. P.S. Keep the air horns for the stadium, I kept spilling my pint 😄
  17. I used to strongly agree with your opinion regarding neutral tracks. History shows many teams have won events with home advantage. They tried the neutral route a few years ago with the Super Seven launch - it didn't appear to work as no home team meant crowd levels were down considerably. The 4's at Peterborough last year was well below previous tournaments they were involved in. A home winner is usually a hollow victory for many, except the home team supporters. What's the alternative? The BSPA will not want to lose out on much needed revenue by going neutral.
  18. It's a great venue for the Pairs, a great set up in general. I was expecting queues of traffic to the track and a poor view in a busy stadium. Alas, taxi drove straight in and with the banking a good view from most areas. Excellent warm up for Cardiff, great way to start the weekend.
  19. It had better be on, enjoy a Sunday afternoon at the fours. Only 3 weeks away so assume many have made plans. On fixture list: http://www.peterboroughpanthers.co/fixtures14

The bar we went to after heat 0,4,8,12,16 🍺🍻🍺🍷🍻🍷 hic! served pre-poured draught beer, albeit crappy Fosters. I've watched from all areas of the stadium and all serve the same. Great weekend. 😀😀😀
