    Newcastle Diamonds 2021

Sadly, I have to agree with you. Brough park, is a relic of a bygone era and not suitable for exciting racing (modern day style). If speedway in Newcastle, is to flourish again. It has to be away from Brough. Anything else is sticking a plaster over a major injury and ultimately doomed to failure.

    Redcar Vs Leicester 10/09

Totally agree with that. Most of the lions big guns, are very happy around Redcar. Hans Andersen, hasn't been before, but it will be like a " duck to water" and he should fit right in. The lower order could be the difference and even then it will be close, incidentally, Zaine Kennedy, has been to Redcar twice before, 6 rides for no points. I would expect him to do better this time.

    berwick bandits 2021

One metre, was never going to make a difference. It needed 5 metre's at least and the squareness of the corners taking off. The trouble is that would severely harm the football pitch.

    Not for second place.

    Leicester Lions 2021

I got it from watching him there for Redcar. He scored 1 point. Told me he didn't like the place.

Good luck with that, Scunny definitely not Aaron's favourite track.

    03/09/21 1930 Redcar v Kent (Champ)

I think you have got the score line right Normski, but the wrong way round. Hope I am wrong though. The bears have 4 matches left and I think they will struggle to get any more points.

    Redcar v Berwick

You probably don't know, how fair the Redcar track is and how much, the away riders, can't wait to get to work on it. I fancied Berwick to do well today, so many riders with MPA experience. So it was no surprise. We have been living on the edge at home all season and I don't expect us, to go very far in the play offs (if we get there). Some of the Redcar riders, don't seem set up for the early part of the meeting and come to life, in the second half, ( you cannot do that and not get caught out, eventually) when the track has slicked off. The motors seem to be running too fast and spinning up (especially out of the starts). The answer being to " kill the motor" or start the meeting with the track a bit slicker. The way it is right now, you have little, or no chance, of building an advantage to take to another track. Well done to Berwick though, it was a great meeting.

Might not be far from the truth, certainly a possibility.

    Plymouth Gladiators 2021

Redcar won't lose points. Home defeat to Eastbourne.

    Redcar vs Poole 20/08/21

I hear what you are saying, but I think that the Poole reserves and second strings will be much stronger than Plymouth, (Hume especially when he has a skull and cross bones on his chest),.I really do hope I am wrong though.

    Redcar vs Poole 20/08/21

I think, Poole have more strength in depth than Redcar, certainly at reserve. I think this gives Poole the edge in this one. If Charles Wright produces his form, from Belle Vue on Monday, then that could make a difference. No home track advantage to speak of.

    Scunthorpe v Redcar - 13.08.21

No I blame Scunthorpe speedway for not communicating, that there was a problem at the entrance and acting on it. The customers should not have been compromised by the promotions inability to cope with the volume of people, before the start. I was at the stadium, 20 minutes before the start. A good promoter (like CVS) would have been on it in a flash and acted accordingly and delayed the start.

    Scunthorpe v Redcar - 13.08.21

Simple fact you were not there, there were probably close to a 1000 people there, bolstered by many Redcar fans. It was an attractive fixture, I saw fans from Leicester, and Peterborough and Sheffield. I arrived there at 7.10, after an arduous journey down the A1. Car park was full, had to park in the industrial estate, joined the long, slow moving queue, through basicly one turnstile. This was to find that at exactly 7.30, the 2 minute warning went on and racing commenced, with no regard for the people stuck outside. I have been to many meetings where the start has been delayed and most good promoters, know whats going on at the gate. If Mr Godfrey knew, he wasn't bothered about it. This was not a good example of customer relations and no wonder, speedway is in the state its in. The one saving grace, the quality of the match.

    Scunthorpe v Redcar - 13.08.21

Exactly, I joined the queue, just before 7 20. This was not a football match, (I have even seen them delayed), this was a speedway match, where every paying customer counts. Try telling Birmingham or Newcastle, customers views don't count. Speedway is not in a position to say to fans, thats the way it is take it or leave it, because the view has been for many, we'll leave it. Oh and by the way aiithegear, if your view is representative of Berwick speedway, I won't be going there either.

    Scunthorpe v Redcar - 13.08.21

This was an excellent speedway match, but I was disturbed, by the fact it started, with over a hundred people still queuing outside. I don't know of any other promotions, who would have started, in that situation. Every promotion, should be aware of what the situation is at the entrance and if people are waiting to get in, then any speedway promotion, cannot afford to ignore them. The start should have been delayed slightly. I missed heat 1 and there were loads of people behind me. Rob Godfrey is head of the promoters and should set an example. You have to show consideration for the customers, because if I had not travelled a long way to get there, I would have walked away and speedway needs all the help it can get right now.

    Redcar 2020

I would say, we would have to stay as we are, ( with R/R ), rather than accommodate, either of those two.

    Newcastle v Redcar (Champ) 1600 Hours 25/07/21

Absolutely, it was a cracking track on Friday. Not in any way responsible for the crashes.

    Newcastle v Redcar (Champ) 1600 Hours 25/07/21

I am not buying this crap track business. Graham Trollope, is one of the best trackmen, in the country, (if not the best). The track was smooth and well watered, however it was grippy and on a tight track like Newcastle, it showed. Throttle control was needed and most of the Diamonds, didn't have that, they were so slow out of the starts, they had to try something harder. They ended up, just digging a bigger hole for themselves. Even Jake Allen, was enjoying himself by the end and he isn't a Brough fan.

    Poole Pirates 2021

He walked off the track all be it very gingerly, then complained of feeling unwell, later. The county ambulance was called and while waiting for it to arrive, Ben's condition seemed to improve and he went to hospital in the paramedics car, I believe. Unfortunatly, after a great start, Ben suffered a bit of Redcaritis (enjoying himself a little too much) and whilst trying, an ambitious and spectacular pass, around the outside on Matty Wethers, got into the deep stuff, by the fence and came down.

    Redcar 2020

Probably experienced enough, but not certain that he knows how to correct it. He is in the Enzville camp, so they should know.
  22. Not trying to be funny Tosh, but didn't the Scorps win at Redcar in 2019.
  23. sidewinder

    Redcar 2020

Have to agree with Ringitsneck, on all points, especially with James Sergeant. He was really trying on Friday, (and the week before), but he looked like his motor was a little too fast and he was spinning up a little and struggling for traction. We should not give up on him too soon, its not the way Redcar works.
  24. sidewinder

    Leicester Lions 2021

I must admit I do not understand how the reserve situation works.
  25. sidewinder

    Leicester Lions 2021

If Josh Bates, is to be the rider, who accompanies Ty Proctor out of the Lions side, that would free up 11.5 points. If Hans Anderson, were to come in, he should do so on a 9.0. That would only leave, 2.5 points for another rider.
