I acknowledge that might be tongue in cheek , but the Monarch's arrogance is breathtaking . Granted your team has been outstanding this season , but surely it's only common courtesy to include one of your poor neighbours . I'm afraid the inclusion of a couple of ex-Tigers won't wash .

Still it's a good field ( well almost ) and i'm sure it will be a good meeting , but out of principle i won't be attending .

With the best will in the world, which of the current Glasgow team could be included? I am sure that a fit Shane Parker would have been one of the first names on the sheet. The alternatives:

Trent Leverington (GSA at Armadale including bonus 3.68), Robert Ksiesak (4.73), Josh Grajczonek (2.40), Mitchell Davey (2.00)? The best bet appears to be Lee Dicken (4.90). I doubt if Anders Andersen would be any better.

Besides Glasgow's number one Carl Stonehewer is riding. (Sorry forgot he's Edinburgh's number one as well!).

Shane Parker was invited of course, as he always is, but regrettably had to decline for obvious reasons.

I think anyone getting oin their high horse about the failure to invite any other Glasgow riders, is just someone who is dead keen to get on their high horse at every opportunity.

Not so , i just find it insulting that no Glasgow rider was invited . No high horses involved .

Well he didn't have much choice in the matter . You might as well have invited Jim McMillan or Charlie Monk .

To be fair they would have done a better job than the current Glasgow team anyway.:lol:

Good line up for the meeting and just hope no injuries or riders having to withdraw as it looks like you could pick anyone of the invited riders making the rostrum, Ok all apart from Makovsky.

And all the fuss being made of no Tiggers in the line up oh dear

He really does feel pasionate about you Edinburgh lot - goodness knows why having met more of their fans recently!!!!

Oi ya cheeky mare  That's you of the Christmas card list

£50 for fuel and £20 for a trip to the barbers hopefully. :D

Nowt wrong with Spud's hair. You're just jealous

but the Monarch's arrogance is breathtaking.........

How is it arrogance trying to field the best line up possible. Sadly Parker apart, there is not one Tiger worth inviting this season. That's the truth of it.

The chip on your shoulder must be delaying the healing of that collar bone.

Turn it round whatever way you like , but there used to be a certain amount of co-operation between the two Scottish sides . I'm sorry we are deemed not to be worthy of that now .

I guess this is just one that we ain't going to agree on!! Taking a step back and removing either Tigers or Monarchs specs - who would you rather see race.............Leverington or Janirro? Ksiezak or Schlein? Josh G or Jason Lyons? Dicken or David Howe???

I just can't see how you could favour any Glasgow rider from the above. I think the chances of a Glasgow rider were made even slimmer with the full Monarchs 7 being fielded.

Finally - William will not be riding, so I think this debate may prove pointless - as I think a Glasgow rider will come in as a replacement. Plus Janirro is not confirmed either.

Your immediate reaction will be................

................but thats not the point, they should've been invited in the first place, eh??!

Well at least you're not patronising .

Look i agree that none of our remaining riders are a great attraction around Armadale , but that really isn't the point i was trying ( probably badly ) to make .

The Scottish Open should be one of the high points of the season and so should attract one of the largest crowds . I would assume the Edinburgh promotion would like to think that there would be a few coming through from the West . Surely the best way to encourage that would be to invite one of the Tigers riders .

I understand the Monarchs wanting to reward their riders for their outstanding contribution so far , but all seven in the field is going a bit overboard . I can never ever remember an individual event where the home team have done that .

But good luck to the Monarchs on their big night and i hope it's a good meeting .

And i never noticed your wee bit at the bottom , therefore messing up the quote .

And there still is co-operation between the two clubs. After all it was Edinburgh who allowed Glasgow to take a look at a certain Peter Juul Larsen by allowing the Dane track time before he went to Ashfield :)

Sorry Paul but you are blowing this way out of proportion.

I'll try and make up for it in Poland!!

That's better

Is Makovsky that great around the Dale?

Doesn't jump out as a track specialist, is this done to attract Berwick fans?
