Barrow Boy 2 172 Posted September 1, 2017 It states on Leicester's site that David Howe is coming in for Josh Bates but on Wolves site it states that Howe replaces Eric Riss with Jye Etheridge coming in for Bates.
847084 99 Posted September 1, 2017 The Wolves preview appeared later than the Lions so perhaps that is the correct line up.
Gemini 4,894 Posted September 1, 2017 Interesting. Has local lad David ever rode at the new track? Perhaps when Lions were in the lower division. I was hoping at some point in his career David would be a Lion but I suppose there's still time now he has come out of retirement. Wouldn't be much travelling expenses to pay. Beowulf 1,513 Posted September 1, 2017 Prediction anybody ? The match doesn't have much importance for Wolves with regard to our place-off place. But it could mean a lot to Leicester with regard to the relegation play-off. Sill think 47-43 to Wolves.
Mattfordfan 286 Posted September 1, 2017 Wolves win. Riss and Bates being replaced by Howe and Etheridge OUCH!
Honey Monster 47 Posted September 1, 2017 Wolves win. Riss and Bates being replaced by Howe and Etheridge OUCH! No way Howe and Etheridge will score the 15+ Riss and Bates would have. Wolves to win handsomely.

Beowulf 1,513 Posted September 1, 2017 Good 4 points for the Wolves. Bring on the Aces in the semis Be reasonable, Lions had very bad luck in losing Lasse Bjerre and already using R/R. We did not need the points, Leicester did.

Glennylion 89 Posted September 1, 2017 Be reasonable, Lions had very bad luck in losing Lasse Bjerre and already using R/R. We did not need the points, Leicester did. Bad luck??? Really. If you spend a large part of the season with a 6 man team and rider replacement then you leave yourself vulnerable to a rider crashing and being withdrawn. This isn't the first time it's been a problem and to some extent they have been lucky. In addition if you replace Bates and Riss by Howe and Etheridge then you increase the vulnerability. Not that it would have affected the result but if Lynch then gives Etheridge 7 rides (2 from 7) and Newman (who was very good) 6 rides (11 from 6) then you can't play the bad luck card. High levels of incompetence I'm affraid.
