17 - Shooey (the giveaway is in the throttle cable covering)

21 - Toughie. But is it our old friend Tony Forward?

25 - Les Collins leads Larry Ross and Barry Ayres

26 - Reg Wilson/David Bargh

28 - Sam

29 - Shooey again

Just to confirm my nerdishness  , no19 (and a few others in this collection) were I think taken at the 1986 British Open Pairs at Sheffield. Mort was bloody superb at that meeting, taking the likes of Nielsen and Moran from the back.

The World Final was just a week or two later and I went away convinced he was going to win it. But, hey, if you can't dream when you're young, when can you?

I think you confirmed your nerdishness quite satisfactorily with the answer to number 17, Falcace! :)

17. Sensational falcace - 48 points for that one  , and not a golden joker in sight. Clearly the anorak was invented for you...... :D

21. Hmmmmmmmm back to the drawing board for me on this one. I like to throw in a few interesting ones to separate the "have anorak' 's from the rest. Clearly my attempt to leave you guessing was not as good as I'd hoped. Another 48 bonus points :D

25. Yes/Yes/I'm sure you're right (I have no idea!)

26. Just for you this one falcace!!

28. Yes

29. Indeed - a clue for no. #17; clearly not needed, o lord of the anoraks (that would make a good film........ :D )

Mort. was invariably superb at Sheffield. I remember one meeting (a balmy May night in '79 I think) when the track record went about three times in the first 6 heats), Mort. claiming one of the records (PC too, I think)
