Bald Bloke 3,286 Posted April 16, 2018 Robson had a mere by the look of it. Powerhouse display by the Wolves.
noggin 1,388 Posted April 16, 2018 Looks like all the Rye team had a mare, can't see many teams getting much at Monmore

As expected, Rye will get very little away from home again. Great result from the boys tonight. As I thought, Ashley has improved a lot since his last stint in Wolves colours. Robbo appeared to have a mare after heat 2.

stevebrum 6,821 Posted April 16, 2018 Just now, Matt Ford Fan said: You said 47-43 earlier. I did, because it's our first match and Rye have riders that can do well and have had matches already. The reality is evident that Rye remain poor travellers. At least I didn't say Rye would win away tho.
Gavan 5,050 Posted April 16, 2018 4 hours ago, Gavan said: Harris and Nicholls usually poor round Wolves and so to is KK though to be fair he was so unhappy at Poole last season that i guess we cant use his scores as a real reflection. Wolves will have to much top end strength in Thorssell, Schlien and Howarth and Masters Think I was pretty much spot on 4 hours ago, Matt Ford Fan said: I disagree on Harris and Nicholls. Personally I think they are decent around Wolves. I agree with you on KK. Doesn't like the place but he is riding well this year. All of tonight's meeting's could go either way. Personally I fancy Rye due to the lack of track time for some of the Wolverhampton boys. Harris and Nicholls usual form at Monmore

Chris 441 Posted April 16, 2018 Pathetic, but no surprise. It's a poor side which will get nothing away from home all season. Should be a laugh seeing what crap Schroeck comes out with. No tac sub used?
Beowulf 1,513 Posted April 16, 2018 Well , were Wolves very good or Rockets very poor ? To be honest more of the the latter. Nicholl's and Harris have been long standing track specialists, but their powers are now waning. Kasprzak didn't look particularly interested as usual at Monmore. As for Robson that must be his lowest score for some time, he usually scores well. As for Wolves, in the speedway star mammoth pre-season issue nobody rates us, which is great,no pressure at all, nobody rated us the last two years. A special mention for Kyle Howarth, I would always have him in my team, spectacular to watch. A rider who rides Sheffield and Wolverhampton every week ? There's adaptability for you. A tougher test with the Pirates next wek so we will see how that goes.

BWitcher 12,453 Posted April 16, 2018 Cracking start from the team on what could have been a banana skin given lack of practice. It does very much look like Rye are going to struggle away and maybe even at home at times as Nicholls and Harris are only going one way. Brilliant start from Jacob at No 1, I have little doubts about him at home. If he can take that confidence to the away tracks maybe he can surprise me. I hope he does! Great to see Kyle Howarth get a maximum. This is one rider I will hold my hand up and say I got it wrong. I wasn't impressed at all when we originally signed him as I didn't think he'd ever adapt to Monmore. He most certainly has and I love to watch him race when I get the chance. Promising looking start from Ashley Morris too.
Coventry_Bee 467 Posted April 16, 2018 A great start for Wolves, very much like last season with Rory, Jacob and Masters looking strong. The real test starts next week vs Poole, Rye started badly and never got going, last out of the gate time and again and against wolves you just can't do it. Bomber went from 1st to last in heat 1 and never looked quick, Scott as always put the effort in and he is 40 next month and it shows. I always think of the great British finals vs Bomber and the tide is turning and you have to accept that the odd ride might be like the old times but being left at the gate and looking slow isn't good to see as a Bees fan. KK should have stayed in his van, wasn't even trying apart from when he got out and even then the lines he took were a little odd. At least with Eddie, Stuart, bomber and Scott you know they will put a shift in, look at Doyle tonight has struggled so it goes to show it happens to the best but at least race 4 laps with some commitment. congratulations to Rory and co and hope wolves have a good season. A well run club with always a well prepared track.
