Premiership Play-Off Ties CONFIRMED

Disagree.

You could see teams trying to lose on purpose.

Which is what you say they were doing on Monday. It would have assured the top 2 could meet in the final.

Clearly the decisions have been made on the assumption that Peterborough are going to finish top of the league, and have been given choice, because this is clearly their choice.

Peterborough wouldn't want to pick Belle Vue who beat them at home both times, and wouldn't fancy Sheffield after being turned over by them too.   Picking Wolves makes sense, and going there for the first leg with Andersen still at reserve also makes sense.  Having the second leg at home is usually the best idea.

But no way can you convince me that this was also Wolves' choice.

No way would they pick Peterborough, and no way would they want the first leg at home.   Wolves would 100% pick Belle Vue and have the second leg at home.  That should be a fairly easy passage to the final where they would most likely come up against Peterborough with Andersen no longer at reserve.

Peterborough will be a hard nut to crack in the play-offs.

Andersen and Harris step up a level when the pressure is on.

On the Wolves site CVS states Peterborough would have been Wolves' choice had they finished top.
No, I am not convinced either. On your second point I would point out WOlves have always chosen home leg first in the play offs when the choice has presented itself.

You don't accept the decision of the planning meeting at face value?

and take the home leg in September while Hans is still at reserve

Surely they should keep the teams 'as per' for both legs?

And forget the end of September averages?

Edit.

And it will be interesting to see how many attend tomorrow at Peterborough given it no longer matters whether they win or not..

And how many certain riders score if the averages do change at the end of the month..!!  :D

But the qualification period for the play offs will be over...

The Semis and Final should be ran with the averages that the qualifying period ended with..

If it was all ran in the same month it would have been....

What an absolute farce! Surely this completely defeats the object of a full league season?!

When you thought the sport in the UK could sink no lower.
