We go through this every year. Regardless of possible underhand reasoning, what is it Speedway fans want?? We see hundreds of comments of ban RR / guests, makes the sport a joke. Then there's moaning (rightly so imo) that meetings are called off for rain from 5-8pm. People need to stop being selfish pr!cks and realise the financial implications just for fans alone. There are 100s of fans at King's Lynn that it's costing £40-£80 round trip for these meetings. Taking whole / half day holidays from work Absolutely, 100%, calling a meeting a day before is beneficial for the wider public, regardless of reason

The sport is beyond salvaging as a "proper sport" given the infrastructure around it that has been allowed to pervade over the past couple of decades... Therefore. Those who fund the sport make up the rules as they go along to suit their own requirements, which is fair enough as it is their money... They clearly have zero intention of the sport "being taken seriously" given the operating model they use, and the absence of any independent arbiters... "Being taken seriously" would be too expensive to implement, and would attract wider scrutiny, hence we have what we have... All promoters use the rules and regs to their advantage whenever they need to, and answer to no one but themselves, therefore can pretty much do what they want. And, as I say, it is their money funding their hobby and the sport, and, as we have seen, if any of them decide to walk away there isn't a large queue to take over their clubs...

Precisely, there was 60-80% chance of rain from from 11am-8pm yesterday according to every forecast you wished to look at. I'm no fan of calling meetings off the day before but its not unique to Lynn and others have done it only for the rain to not arrive.

If the sport is EVER going to sort itself out again and be taken seriously, then absolute pi$$ takers like Chapman need to be driven out of the sport. I’m sorry but you just can’t have owners running and not running meetings on the fly whenever it’s convenient/inconvenient and basically cheating.

Very much the same as pit gate-gate, rather than run RR and a guest for two missing riders on Danish international duty, they make up a cock and bull story about a “broken pit gate”. Kings Lynn are a cowboy outfit run by absolute charlatans and they wonder why riders are constantly buggering off mid-season and show little commitment. It’s embarrassing.

How many fans does it really impact? 1500 at the most? 1500 who will more than likely be there for the next meeting regardless, given the sport is pretty much down to the die hsrds who accept "anything", so very little impact in reality.. Measure that against flight costs, hotel costs, basic travel expenses for UK based riders, and referee costs, and you can see why clubs call off the meetings early... Even more reason if you rent your stadium.....

Maybe so,but it was called off the night before on a forecast.And you said it was nice one Thursday,they just got lucky with the rain coming late on Thursday.Lynn were unlucky with the predicted rain coming a few hours later than predicted.IMO no team should be allowed to postpone a fixture the night before on a weather forecast,not just Lynn.
