Some of us have already mentioned in various different places where we are staying but I thought it might be a better idea to have it all together. I saw that too Richyb.....should make for some interesting races lol. Maybe they are accomodating the way Rico may well be feeling watching it after 'the night before' ;-)

Joanne I believe BTL and Minifoghorn got the bus into the GP on the Saturday-that was certainly how they and their burger king got home! AS for Newport they used a very disreputable form of transport known as Lioness tours which only got lost once and didnt swear THAT often....... However when I offered them a lift back on the Saturday they started shaking and went a funny color :-( :twisted:

I have to agree with jblanch69.....the referee imo got both decisions badly wrong. However we are all human and all make mistakes. It tends to balance itself out over the length of a career-riders just dont make a big fuss when it goes their way! Andreas handled it correctly and Tomasz seemed to at the time too. The decision was made-it wasn't going to be changed and theres no point making a song and dance about it now imo

I dont spend 24 hours a day on the forum-I have a life. I have now seen your request and asked for other mods opinions on it as is the norm. I have also only recently spoken to the 'other mod' you refer to on the telephone....after your post incidentally. Although quote frankly why I should have to account for my time and actions to you I don't know. not at all Shazzy, if anyone had posted that I would have done the same, nothing to do with who posted it. everyone is allowed an opinon but if you want to slate other people then do it off the board. I'll refer it to Phil for you as you're not happy about it although he is unlikely to be about this evening till later. I dont claim to be infallible (cant even spell it!)

I'm glad it is going to go ahead Do the alternative venues have the same capacity as Stockholm or could there be problems if they have to be used with more tickets sold than the stadiums can hold? How far away are they from Stockholm too (sorry my Geography is non existant). Will there be problems with riders and spectators having to try and find alternative accomodation at short notice?

Its a fact that its a rumour :clown Sorry I watched too much Yes Minister as a kid. Apparently it is a very real threat because of their regulations over there but strikes are so unusual there that they are not sure how it is going to pan out. I believe they are hoping that some sort of agreement will be reached before then

If you have riders of a different standard like that could it not be pretty dangerous? Can you imagine the likes of Carl Stonehewer having to round Jitu Duffil and Carlos Villar and survive? :roll: :twisted: If the standard was nearer to being level across the board then surely handicaped racing cant be justified?

BTL thats the name of the place I've been trying to remember..... I know people who stayed there last year and they found it fine for travelling etc Thanks Sloop - Ive been going insane trying to remember it!

Its probably wiser to wait a couple of weeks yet before arranging it but last year I seem to recall it was a Wotherspoons near the Stadium and it was a good pub. Was it the Prince of Wales? What about a mini meet for the Friday at Newport as well?
