Time For A Rethink In Rolling Averages?

I wouldn't hang by your thumbs waiting for a reply on this one .

Time For A Rethink In Rolling Averages?

I will believe you regarding mocking (i suppose).I think your idea is a wind-up Your brain is still frazzled from all these average calculations. More important issue is will the track be as slick as Ipswich's last visit. If so what will the result be.Although injuries and sackings mean it is not the same riders on show.

Time For A Rethink In Rolling Averages?

Lets clear one thing up Big Ed ,the point I was making a couple of weeks ago was the the averages are unfair regarding guests IMO where perhaps the currentt season average should be applied rather than the rolling average(the example I gave was Craig Cook who is averaging around 10pts THIS season but due to rolling averages Edinburgh could only get a guest around 8.5 silghtly unfair IMO,my second point was that Dyer and Aspregen were still on good rolling averages as they had not yet rode 38 matches and I considered them to be a good signing with that point in mind).YOU were the one that said an average is an average and were mocking my opinion(no problem there all in a Saturday nights entertainment) listen to the whole story before trying to shoot me down.Better go and dig up some more bait now .

Time For A Rethink In Rolling Averages?

I can only see 8 measurements, is this a mistake in my counting or am I still missing the point you are trying to make. Still an average is an average

Time For A Rethink In Rolling Averages?

See you have a bit of time on yours hands today .The only the thing you said a couple of weeks ago was "an average is an average" you really should listen to the whole story before giving answers .A bit of Tap Dancing going on now What do you teach again?

NL was intended to be a development League IMO. Who is going to finance a league to sit below what is already meant to be that league.Trouble is riders are allowed to jump back and forth and make a mockery of the sport. Ask Joe to help out and ride for nothing and wait for his reply,Which is really what you are saying about your other league .

Agree its the rulebook that needs reviewed for the good of the sport IMO

At the end of the day it does nothing for the credibility of the sport. Trying to attract new people into speedway must be difficult in all 3 leagues with rules that are in place.

    What a joke .
  14. I think most Berwick fans are resigned to the fact that any points from Klaus are just a bonus.
  15. Poor gating cost us today.Plenty of effort from the Bandits.Rain started during the match which make the track a little greasy and gating became vital.Seb was taking the Lee Complin line and Nikki was impressive and well worth his points David had bike trouble in what looked like his easiest heat (8) but had 2 good heat wins.
  16. I think Holder summed him up nicely when asked what he had learned from watching the racing "Dont try an outside pass on Nikki" was his reply
  17. Some great racing last night, surely they must reconsider taking Mallilla of the GP calendar one of the best racing tracks on the circuit.Gollob back to his best and Holder showing that he is the real deal and a breath of fresh when it comes to interviews ,doesn't give the same old story every time.Sincerly hope he wins the Title .
  18. Good win and all the team had their moments, some good racing and the track was decent

    Redcar V Berwick 6th Sept

Wasn't talking about that particular meeting just track prep in general .

    Redcar V Berwick 6th Sept

IMO Only thing I would say about the Berwick Track prep is that it seems always to be slick on the inside line ,and inconsistant on the outside line,But out track announcer publicly says over the mike that it is OK .I will leave it at that .
  21. What a good idea, would never have thought of that

    Redcar V Berwick 6th Sept

As there was no objection from the Redcar promotion before the match when the changes were announced you would have to assume the rules haven't been broken.
  23. Lemon is your key man IMO in previous seasons he has been superb when he has gated (which was most of the time) He has tailed of a little this season but if he puts his gating boots on he will be hard to beat. Morris is a good guest choice for Berwick but if Barrett is fit I feel Newcastle will have slight advantage, certainly will be the toughest opposition he has faced at Shielfield.
