  1. Harsh on Cook I feel, but very unlucky for Ziske in Ht1 he had Harris cooked coming of the last bend when his bike gave up,very impressive riding from him all through the meeting.Think I might have chanced Vissing in the last heat. But Harris would have probably done the business .Dan Thompson very impressive.Tigers look vulnerable but a wins a win.Bonus points might be difficult for them this season.

Said last season that Holder should kick on when he finally got that first GP win so hopefully that's the case, he's probably the only one in this line-up who could not only potentially threaten Zmarzlik but actually believes he can beat him. The problem is now finding that consistency, you can't really afford a poor meeting because you know that Zmarzlik will be making the final even when he's having an average night.

Think Holder is Zmarzlik’s main challenge this season, skilful, consistently fast and not scared to get “ stuck in”.Lambert fast in in front but goes missing when the going gets tough.

Doyle and Lindgren big spoilers every GP. Never give attitudes serves them well.Hard as nails both of them.

Gutted to be out didn’t expect Woffinden to win but thought he d make the semifinals easily how wrong can you get a very poor performance from him well done and good luck to everyone still in

thanks for running the competition again R/R pity I couldn’t stay in a little longer

Brutal rules from R&R nowadays.Although like R&R just don’t understand piling on Woffy now a shadow of the rider he once was.

People got too carried away with Jack Smith’s performance last week. I stand by what I said - one good performance doesn’t strike out a lot of underwhelming performances at Championship level. Whatever the reasons for it, his baseline performances have been more like last night’s than last Friday’s.

Good performances at National League don’t necessarily carry to the Championship - Kyle Bickley a case in point.

I hope he does well, but the more likely scenario on past performances is that he scores a very small handful of points.

Up against Cook, a seemingly rejuvenated Batchelor, and Vissing, I think we’ll be in for a hard night. Certainly closer than against Oxford.

Smith looked like a wobbling junior last night.Par for the course for him.Not a lot of decent reserves going about though.

First of all, congratulations to Oxford. Boughen aside, that was an outstanding team effort.

Secondly, I think it’s safe to say Glasgow won’t be putting up much of a title defence.

Flint is an odd one. He’s putting points on the board, but said points are flattering him; he’s dropped more points from scoring positions than any other Glasgow rider this season. He doesn’t look comfortable in a Glasgow race suit.

Aside from his win in heat fourteen, Starke was a disgrace. As was Pearson. Nowhere near being remotely good enough.

Guests at reserve are always a toss of the coin, but I genuinely think Cami Brown might have grabbed two punters off the Cowley streets and put two helmets on them. That wasn’t the same Jack Smith who guested at Ashfield on Friday night and Conor Coles genuinely looked like it was his first encounter with a speedway bike.

I suppose that’s the downside with being champions, isn’t it? You have standards to maintain and when you fall so short, it requires addressing.

    Flint is overrated.

Excellent racing all night. Killeen was the match winner in  my view. Bougoen looks like a beaten man, A big off in his first race then he backed out going into turn 3 in another his confidence is so low I believe he should return to NDL & learn how to win races. He is still 16 & has a big future theres no need to push so hard in his first full season.

Glasgow to be fair other than Harris & Worrall looked poor. The reserves were very bad & both vastly experienced with good family pedigrees.

Well done Oxford. It's going to be a headache fitting extra meetings in with 3 teams to run. Lets hope the rain continues to dodge Oxford.

Big harsh on Ashton,he did have bad night but don’t see any point on him dropping back to NDL which is very substandard compared to previous years will not really benefit him IMO.To be the best you have to race the best.He is a talent.

    So far:

    Prem: Spires drawing decent crowds

Champ: well down but hopefully will pick up for league matches

NDL: bigger crowd for Chargers v Edin. Academy than Birmingham v Belle Vue - looks like Sunday afternoon is popular

Do think it is a big gamble to run 3 Teams in this present climate.Plus you are seeing a lot of the same riders for various Teams.

These little things do matter, they all add up, when the cameras are there it’s not a good look when the camera pans round and what you see looks like a scene from rap video, clear the pits of hangers on and get the staff mechanics wearing team stuff

We see the pit shots in Poland it looks very organised controlled. Smart mechanics and no “hangers on “everywhere.Impressive IMO looks professional and decent crowds.
