  1. Does anyone know why Dale Lamb (15) and Jack Hurst (16 I think) aren't included? Both these riders have raced and beaten a number of guys listed. Dale I know is still riding competitively, having ridden for both Glasgow and Berwick in junior challenges. Jack I'm not so sure about as I haven't heard much about him since he signed for Redcars National league side that failed to get off the ground. It would be really sad if these guys have just missed out because they live too far North.
  2. I'll second that. Marc Owen looked very good last year at Glasgow beating Dale Lamb and Rhys Naylor while all were on 250s. It's interesting to follow their careers now they've moved on to 500s.
  3. Glasgow speedway finish their season with the Heathersfield Gold Helmet. The line up is as follows 1.Johnny Grey 2.Richard Lawson 3.John MacPhail 4.Adam McKinna 5.Kieran Morris 6.Steven Jones 7.Gary Beaton 8.Scott Richardson 9.James McBain 10.Scott James 11.Mike Pickering 12.Robert McNeil Looks like an interesting meeting and with Tigers legend Steve Lawson presenting the Helmet to the winner it should be a good afternoon.
  4. Thanks trainer for posting all that information. Hopefully the youngsters had a terrific day and it has helped with their development.
  5. Did this take place today as I heard there may have been a shortage of riders?
  6. Really looking forward to this as the youngsters don't often get a chance to have their own meeting. Three of the 250s have appeared at Glasgow earlier on this season so good luck to young Brendon on his debut. It's really good to see how far some of these guys are willing to travel so hopefully the weather is kind to them. It's on the Glasgow website that Guy Kendrew has a broken shoulder and has been replaced by Martin Emerson. Also the fact that the meeting starts at 2pm not 3 as per teletext.

Whoops, I hadn't noticed that. I thought it was going to be a touring club side. Next question, who are Edinburgh bringing in to replace Laukkanen and Katajisto or have I missed that as well?

    Finnish News

This is taken from the official Edinburgh website Friday 21 September 2007 "The Scotwaste Monarchs will race against a touring team from Finland next Friday night in an international challenge." Has anyone any idea as to which Finnish side is coming to Edinburgh on Friday and at what other tracks are they appearing?
