Talks are going on between ourselves and Steve Evans, of "AMERICAN DREAM/TOUR TEAM" Planning on bringing his American Riders, while on their tour, in October.... TO LYDD SPEEDWAY ! Holding a American Style Race Day ! Inc Races Such as: Handicap Racing Last Man out etc.... VENUE: LYDD SPEEDWAY Belgar Farm, Romney Road, Lydd, Romney Marsh, Kent. TN29 9LS DATE: Sunday 22nd AUGUST TIME: 12pm - 5pm RULES & REGS The Sufficient Entries will be: 8 to 11yr olds (any size engine… up to 200cc) ((And will accept twist and go trail & motorcross kids bikes)) 12 to 15yr olds (any size engine… up to 200cc) ((must be upright or laydown Speedway or Grasstrack bikes)) 16yrs and Adults (any size engine… up to 200cc) ((must be upright or laydown Speedway or Grasstrack bikes)) BIKES All bikes must be fitted with ignition cut-outs. Its a condition of lydds planning permission that all bikes should be fitted with 102db silencers. Dirt deflectors will not be required. All other rules and regs will be as SCB handbook. MEDICAL COVER At least one ambulance, one Paramedic and two first aiders will be attendance. Just want to welcome the new young riders that have appeared at our "Lydd Speedway Training Track" this year. Our 205 metre track has proved to be ideal for upgrading from the small tight junior tracks, without being thrown into the deep-end on the larger full size tracks... The graduate can still ride their junior 125cc etc bikes, feeling the greater speeds having a bit of a straight on the track, and go slightly larger engines till they are ready for the world of Jawa250cc or 500cc Machines... Lydd speedway welcomes all you under 15's riders.... Our track is the ideal size and shape for honda 125's and 250's leading up to 500cc machines. We have regular Junior riders and beginners hear already, we even have 125cc hire bikes. Come try out our track, you'll love it !
