lisa-colette replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Oh, I thought it was Nic Klindt and Freddie that recommended him? Or maybe all 3 then. -

Blimey, give him a chance. First proper Poole meeting! -

Was Basso invited then? I just thought cos he didn't ride with Bjarne at Peterborough last year and they were making the teams more even, he was just never asked to do it? -

Lawson and Garry May hugged ( a manly one like Joey and Chandler in Friends) in the Poole pits at Bjarne's meeting. So if he hasn't got a problem with him... -

Yes I'm sure that's all the input he has! -

Easier not impossible though as don't Eastbourne own theirs too? But if Matt owned Poole Stadium i'd be pretty confident it would be around for a while. -

Shock to the system after having months off though. I feel tired just thinking about it! lol -

Danny King might be a bit tired, 4 meetings in 4 days!! -

And Cradley Heath was a big name in speedway when it got shut down, so no one can think it won't happen to their club. If the speedway owner owns the stadium makes it a lot easier though! -
Wolves v Sheffield LC 4th April 2022
lisa-colette replied to Beowulf's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Ah yes but didn't work for BV last year. I mean Wolves could do that but his form for Poole needs to be good then, so he doesn't lose confidence too much. I just think it would be better for him to start at 3. -

Hmm it may be the riders that are obsessed with it? Well that is how it is talked about on SM! If they have to be paired together then at 1 and 2 and have Masters at 5, then less pressure on Drew and Leon. -

I was only joking! Still shocked he didn't get anything at Peterborough. Ah well no time for rest or to over analyse, Plymouth tomorrow and Poole Weds. -

I think cos Ryan and Nick like being at 3 and 4. But I think Nick has to be at 5 til Steve settles in, tough ask for him to be at 5 straight away. -

Hans will be taking Basso's place at reserve at this rate! -

You definitely been proved wrong so far! A tougher test will be interesting, like Sheffield for example. -

Flappy to busy flapping about Basso when really should have been worrying about Hans! Zero? -

Maybe could be applied to other riders but takes a lot for JD to pull out. -

Difficult in those type of meetings as you don't know who is testing different engines etc. I would expecting him to be pushing for a HL spot this year. Actually you seen to have 5 ready made HL's! -

Haven't laughed at a post (in a good way) for ages! Those three parts particularly made me chuckle. -

True, some people prefer it if they think there is a high chance they are going to win. But obviously not Leicester fans if the crowd was low! Also meetings against Glasgow, Poole and Redcar etc will have higher attendance as less predictable. -

You say about Cook being at 2 but Becker at 2 is just as strong, if not stronger! I'd go for Wolves by 8. I think this is a perfect time to ride against Sheffield, before they have really got going imo. -

The people like a close meeting. Some fans won't go if they think it is going to be one sided.
