22 hours ago, Arch Stanton said:Joe Thompson will be fine at Leicester. He’ll more than likely struggle on the road again, but he’ll be far more comfortable around Leicester than he was for us at Foxhall last year. Joe rides Leicester well.
Haven't they altered the Leicester track yet again this winter ?
Maybe the alterations, if there have been any, even if minor could make any of the riders struggle or maybe thrive.

Albin slammed into Covatti, Covatti hit the fence and was bounced off his bike and then it looks like he was run over by Albin. I don’t see any of it being to do with the track.
My viewpoint, as I'm unable to Like your post is exactly the same.
Could Albin do anything to avoid what happened ?
I doubt it.

Thats some intelligent additive that you put it in a tank of fuel and it knows to work at its maximum effect at the startline.

Straight after could like a post, don't know whether it's just coincidence but maybe worth a try, at worst cuts back on the pop ups
Think a lot of it is down to which browser you use.

or at least one that would get smashed after being seeded to the final?
They probably would get hammered in the final, but there's a chance they'd rise to the occasion. Stranger things have happened.

If Discovery are serious about making the sport bigger, take it to America, must be a suitable stadium in a big city available, put in a nice wide track.

That would IMO be a very backward step. Where would the riders to replace those who move up the ladder come from ?
Or maybe the BSPL want to take they're heads out of the sand and work with the clubs using the NORA setup to bring riders through.

But at least your being honest you can’t win anything with 4 riders
You can win the 4TT

There's millions of people in this country who have to get up and go to a job they hate every single morning, and he can't be bothered sometimes to do something he allegedly loves!
I'm struggling to work out why a fair few posters think you're a twonk.

Are you Maurice Morris ?
A name to rival the Neville brothers father.

Does anyone know if two people can share one pass - ie 5 matches each when going together?
Might be worth getting one to be used by me and my son if it can be used this way.
Why not email the club and ask the question

All this talk of riders taking a while to get dialled in.
They'll all have plenty of time to practice, TBH since we reopened and the track alterations took place I doubt you'd find a rider who'd struggle to suss it out in a race or two.
I'd love to see Rasser and Moose doing the Buffalo Girl on this track

As a bit of an old git nowadays, one of the biggest whines I've heard over the years from supporters of many teams is we have different riders every year.
Oxford have 7 riders who rode for the club last year. Four of them and potentially five if Cameron Heeps rides like he is more than capable of.
I'm happy with the team, we might win the wooden spoon but I doubt it.
Last season I thought we were way too top heavy, I was wrong.
All I know is the season ain't over till the last heat, I'll be there for every meeting I can get to in all 3 leagues.

Doyle doesn't need to ride here but if you can get a good wage why wouldn't you work in the country where you live?
Pretty sure i read that JD rides here as he likes a busy schedule as if he doesn't have enough meetings he starts to overthink setups etc. So riding in the UK as he lives here is relatively simple.

Good Point that I hadn't thought of
What bugs me is delays to start of the meeting due to people arriving late. In the best part of 50yrs I've managed to get to every meeting I've been too well ahead of the parade nevermind the start of the first race.

Those teams that will have to run a structured second half for junior racing will have to pull their socks up.
No long delays to the start of the meeting because of a queue to get in. Unless there's a major incident in the area closing roads etc.
Only breaks in the meeting from the official start time for grading and an interval or if there's a bad crash etc which we all know will happen at some point.

Genuinely hope it works but seems very risky.
How many PL and CL teams had home meetings planned every week over the past few years
-
I was told last week in confidence, which is why I'm not naming the person concerned that Oxford have a former Birmingham rider lined up.
-
Just had a message off a mate saying Scott Nicholls in a BBC Radio Oxford interview tonight said that he's riding for Oxford next season.

5 hours ago, lisa-colette said:Not if we are having Tom Brennan as there would only be 4.16 left and pretty sure Jack's average is higher than that.
Maybe it could be reassessed as he missed last season and a big chunk of 2022.
Best interests of the sport and helping a British lad find a way back into the game.
Would probably need another rule in the ever thickening book saying British riders who miss a season due to injury are entitled to a certain percentage reduction of their average.

Which wasn't down to being lucky. He rode a great first two bends and then nice and steady to take the win.

I was at the meeting and I'd say the track was tricky for the first 4 races and gradually got better after that. After Max Perry had his unfortunate accident, the forecast rain started to arrive. Once that rain got heavier there wasn't much chance IMO of the meeting being completed.
Fairplay to all 14 riders for their efforts on the night.
Good Luck to Max I hope he makes a full and speedy recovery.

Maybe the simplest way if people wish to be informed is for the SCB to release a statement on the last day of each month from April to October, stating how many tests were carried out. As in tests took place at X amount of meetings.
