You're so right with a good perseived product in whatever league you start/ end up in, get that right and people will come. Also as an away fan always preferred going to an out of town venue rather than a town centre type ( being an Eastie fan I suppose). Went to Tralawney a couple of times on holiday when they were running, that really was remote in a disused china clay pit, but had a pretty good track, a young Chris Harris and pulled in good numbers. Your new track looks to be a winner so sure you'll do fine.

I've heard from a reliable source it's still going to be the Jubilee Cup held for King Charles silver jubilee, assume that'll be 2048 I suppose if he makes it to then, otherwise will probably be posponed.
-
DD Cup maybe?
-
I suppose if that's what you've got to do .......

Can't remember the exact reason but he never rode for Eastbourne in 2002( may have been a Saturday night fixture problem),and we ended up with Mark Loram instead which may have been our choice when he became available. Having said that he was amazing for Poole even around the tight track the couple of times I saw him at Arlington.

You are correct and feel sorry for most of the 'normal' repressed Russians as well as the Ukrainians, but you have sort of answered the last part of my question, maybe better to look at other options ?
-
I know politics and sport should be kept separate but they aren't. Even though Emil gets to ride through the backdoor on a Polish licence, personally every Russian sportsman should condemn what's going on in Ukraine to compete anywhere. He may have done this already, be so pleased if he has and welcome him, but if not I'd be looking elsewhere.

Totally agree, Eastbourne had so many exciting matches and playoffs against BV, Birmingham especially and even quite raucous derbies against Kent during that period.
-
Agree it looks a really good team, not sure they'll walk it? Leicester and Oxford don't look too shabby, but that's how it should be, hopefully the NL will get back somewhere near to the heady days of 2015/18.

Perhaps I should have said in front of him, he couldn't see Hancock at that point but Hancock could see him. Not really defending him, but sure if it had been the other way round Pedersen would have backed off and not come off. Saw Mr clean Leigh Adams do a similar pass on Pedersen on our tight Arlington track back in the day, it was back off or air fence for Pedersen which he did, survived and passed him a lap later. Just shows why he's box office I suppose, whether you like or loath him.
-
I know this will be controversial for a lot, but wasn't Pedersen passed him and Hancock should have backed off? I bet the other way round Pedersen would have backed off and come again at him next bend.

And what topping is best for you, maple syrup or some other Scottish delicacy......

You must have a lot of interesting info for such a broad statement which I'm sure THJ can confirm......

Great move, from word go makes a team look a team, can't believe it doesn't even help with team bonding as well. Slightly more cost but worth every penny to me.

Change ruminate to urinate maybe.....
-
Oh no it's not.....

3 kids, 4 grandkids and both 66, and 40 plus years of watching speedway ( until Eastbourne closed) so done the lot, money well spent.......?
-
Have a look at Monty Python's 4 Yorkshireman if you don't know it, that's definitely the world some live in

Definitely dearer down south, maybe another generous subsidy from Westminster?

Did say £50 for 2 for an average meal, couple of courses and a drink at Nando's is probably £40 for 2?
-
I suppose it's all down to perceived value. £50 + is now an average meal out for 2, is that better value than eating at home beforehand and having a night of speedway for the same? Only people can make that decision, but as you say if you don't have the £50+ spare in the first place it's academic really and that's the dire/sad situation we find the country in at the moment.
-
If you look at inflation £20 in 2022 is about the same as £10 was in 2000. I always like to pay as little as possible for anything that I can, but realistically it's still a £10 sport from 20 years ago, but inflation has meant it's now £20. I'm not defending promotions and money is tight but unless all speedway becomes NL level or lower it can't go below £20 really.
-
Shouldn't that be 3 sure's and not 2 with an assume maybe......

Very sad, saw him( Andre Malherbe) at Farleigh Castle a number of times when he was world 500 mx champion or runner up, had some fantastic battles with our best ever motocrosser Dave Thorpe, like a lot of other riders had a dreadful accident in the Paris Dakar desert race following such a fantastic career.

Captain Kremmen I seem to recall, but I'm sure you meant it ' all in the best possible taste '......... Cupid Stunt........... think that was another one.
