Your forgetting Davey Watt likes riding in the rain!
-
Hopefully it will rain, then Havvy will want it called off after heat 9 and Lakeside take all the points!!
-
That doesn't mean he wasn't trying and he did get paid 10 for Lakeside against Leicester. So your saying at the start of your post an easy away win then at the end Lakeside may sneak a win!! Personally hoping for a easy Lakeside win.
-
But your rubbish in the wet!
-
Why wouldnt Watt give full effort on a track he was a number one, Nillsson is very good at home but Watt is better in my view and riding well at the moment.
-
I think lakeside could win, watt improves the team over nillsson and roynon is going well so could ruffle garrity a bit.
-
Ford has obviously decided not to change yet so has until the end of august, so gives himself more time to assess the situation and the only rider thats springs to mind and would fit is in my view Lindback but i really cant see it happening and although i like him and it could be argued a more exciting rider than Holder it would be a big risk.

Wolverhampton Wolves Vs Poole Pirates 20/07/2015
foreverblue replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
He wasnt in control of his bike as he crossed the line but he may have still been in contact with his bike. -
According to the local paper, reading between the lines, the only rider Ford is considering dropping is Gomolski as he has said he will only consider a change after the august averages come in and the only riders whose average isn't going to drop are Janowski and Gomolski so he would change any other rider prior to the august averages coming in, especially North whose average has dropped over a point, we can't even fit Leon Madsen in for North if we wanted to, so if we dropped Gomolski which personally i think would be a bad move then we have 5.15 for the incoming rider.

I thought he had crossed the line in contact from where i was standing. My point is if one of them had stayed down North would have been excluded so he shouldn't have got the point as it was his fault Gomolski laid his bike down. -
Well that's not me is it, i have never condoned Matt Ford's actions when he has done wrong but that comment is anti Poole in my view.
-
You dont think the up matt fords arse comment is anti poole then!!You dont have to stick up for him just because he supports your team.
-
I have always maintained it probably shouldn't have started but in fairness they had done a great job on the track and it was in a raceable condition. How do you think Coventry were looking at it considering they were losing. Coventry riders did not refuse to race heat 9 only heat 10. Everyone knew it would only get to heat 10, as always your trying to make out in some way it was Poole's fault which it wasn't. How does it discredit Poole?
-
I don't think refusing to race is petty and if they didn't get fined it would open up a whole new can of worms, the amount of the fine another question. The fan always seem to come last unless clubs give discounts for sky meetings and give value for money, perhaps they could discount the programme too as it is rarely good value for money. If clubs are going to continue to produce a programme from a previous meeting with a two page insert then they are only going to make fans annoyed, if programmes were all like the programme at Swindon when Poole were there then there wouldn't be a problem.

Even if we don't make team changes we need a riding order change, letting Watt get away with riding at 2 isn't helping Gomolski, the better rider should ride at 4.

The Darcy Ward Show! Swindon V Poole - Mon 13th July 7.30 Elite League (sky Meeting)
foreverblue replied to mudflaps's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Probably because their not very high in the league and Darcy riding is always exciting -
Still have reservations about North, ok to do it at home against the bottom club but couldn't do it away and tends to fall off a lot when under pressure.

But if Gomolski had stayed down it would have been re-run or awarded and the referee would have had to exclude North as a primary cause of the stoppage. -
I thought in your world we are always likely to lose Can't be Howarth average too high for Gomolski

But surely the rider that went down first is the primary cause so he should be excluded and had they stayed down that is what would of happened. -
While you have proved you can do mathematics, you said yourself Holder scored well last time at Wolves and i don't think anyone was thinking of getting rid of Holder as we all know what he is capable of and the rider Matt Ford considered dropping him for was Magic!! Gomolski had to lay his bike down in heat 14 to avoid North so he should have scored paid 6 which is pretty good for a rider known not to like Monmore Green, so i would expect a good showing tonight, i think he is worth keeping. It isn't worth completely wrecking the team for one rider, your scenario may have worked at Wolves but we have stronger teams to play against where we will need a team of riders who are all capable of scoring points. Although i wouldn't say there is nothing that can't be improved on.

Got all a bit confusing in heat 14 when Dakota North came down and Gomolski laid it down to avoid crashing in to him, they both got up and continued and North but North should have been excluded for the primary cause of the stoppage which he wasn't so that's a point North should have deducted and given to Gomolski. In fairness though they both got up and didn't try to stay down and get a re-run. -
No we shouldn't, Darcy would not have been comfortable replacing Holder anyway and if would have made us weaker, now we can still change on a like for like basis plus the fact that Holder isn't in bad form abroad so he will be ok in my opinion. Much rather he was in top form in the play offs than now.
-
I think they are at Coventry twice, bit of rain easy 8 points!
-
No i don't think they do as will be proved tonight when they get easily beaten by Kings Lynn, strong at home, weak away. Overall Swindon have a better team.
