And the ones stupid enough to go got stung for !8 pounds, i would suggest there would have been quite a few more if the prices had been reduced.
-
I completely agree with the decision to fine them, we all remember meetings in far worse conditions and fans are continually being short changed by promotions not giving value for money, Coventry still wanted 18 pounds for a meeting that was never going to go the distance and on monday i watched 15 heats for a tenner with a pretty decent programme too which is rare in itself and why is it that clubs produce a programme that covers two meetings and expect us to pay extra, when especially away fans, we are unlikely to attend both meetings.
-
Last time he rode for the pirates he did very well, exciting to watch as he hardly ever makes decent gate I have already said North could be replaced by Pawlicki, if available, who i think would improve the team as North seems to have gone off the boil lately and Watt could be replaced by Buckowski if available and would improve the team in my view. I said at the start of the season Watt and North will cost us in the play offs and i still think that.
-
If riders continue to under perform then changes will be made as there are alternatives who would improve the team although i am aware that certain riders have improved lately but North started the season well, seems to be trying very hard but for some reason he isn't in the form he was. Personally i would leave it for now and see if they can improve and i wouldn't read anything into monday's meeting either, i would just put that down to a bad day which happens sometimes, most of them underperformed against Swindon.
-
Seems like he didn't want a rider mate to get sacked so the team could fit him in.
-
I know Poole are not being blamed for once but some have said if the scores had been reversed perhaps the respective management would have had different views which by implication some do blame Poole for ensuring the meeting was completed in 10 heats. Coventry themselves may have had a different point of view had they have been winning, in retrospect i suspect they probably feel now that they shouldn't have tried so hard to get it on and let the track stay waterlogged as it must have been earlier in the day.
-
When i got there the track looked like a muddy field in places but they had done a good job to get even in that condition, it wouldnt have started normally but because the cameras were there they probably felt they had to gjve it a go. It was never going to be a great meeting with the track in that condition, riders accept it but they dont like it and neither do fans who had paid 18 quid to get in only to see a 10 heat meeting.
-
Not me i think Gomolski is worth persevering with, don't mind a rider who tries even when he is at the back and for me Gomolski always tries. Holder was under performing but is better now.
-
If the team can be improved and some riders arn't performing then changes are made. Sport is about winning.
-
They were always going to get fined for refusing to race and if Coventry hadn't been losing would they have acted in a different way.
-
All sport is dictated to by tv, they pay so they rule. If it had been waterlogged it would have been called off. If it wasnt on tv it would have been off and once it started it was never going to be called off before heat 10. If Coventry wanted it off why did they try so hard to get it on.
-
A lot of people have said it shouldn't have started that is not the issue.

The Darcy Ward Show! Swindon V Poole - Mon 13th July 7.30 Elite League (sky Meeting)

18 at Coventry! No reduced admission for sky meetings either. -
Buckowski and could get Pawlicki for North. I know some don't rate Bucko but i do and he rode well in the world cup. He is 12th in the Polish rankings.
-
So who is better Bees or Wasps? Fight!! One things for sure, someone is going to get stung!!

Kings Lynn V Wolves 16th July

Saw P.K on tv last night looked very poor, don't see changing the riding order will help,Wolves are a team with a few riders off form not just Freddie. -
Yes i read that but i bet he is in gp saturday! Engman it is then.
-
Yes true and changes will be made i am sure but sometimes it is debatable whether they will strengthen the team, always liked THJ personally and he has done a good job in the past.
-
I am sure there are many options but Matt Ford has to be sure they would improve the team unless it is someone like Bartosz.
-
Did the rider or riders in question do well last night? Just looked there was only one other match in Sweden last night and Kacper Gomolski outscored all the other riders except Bernzton who have never appeared in Britain and young Oliver only scored 1 more
-
The only riders who looked good last night and who haven't been here before were Laguta and Vaculik but i think they would be too high an average to be viable
-
Yes seen that in the local, look forward to him riding back with us next season. Yes i have heard the excuse about Milik before. Not sure i want Pawlicki back after watching him last night in Sweden!
-
Just a suggestion if changes are in the pipeline, doubt THJ getting married is significant he already has a child, if we replace Gomolski Bjerre is the best option in my view. Who says Pawlicki wouldn't want to, he seemed to have fun with us last season and Milik didn't want to ride in England according to you.
-
i doubt Darcy could have ridden for anyone.
-
With current averages we could change the team to Janowski,Holder,Pawlicki,THJ and Lasse Bjerre but would that be an improvement?
