And what about Henryk Zyto .... I think thats how it is spelt. He was real crowd pleaser when he came over. oops just realised thats before the `70's .... I had better ring "Help the Aged" for advice on how to concentrate.

Gemini if it makes you feel better I passed my test on a 98cc James. And believe it or not, it was a great bike to slide (not on my test of course).

Hope I've got these two names right from the 50/60's .. but I seem to remember these guys being as hard as nails on the track. Harry Bastable and Charlie Barsby ... I'm sure Gem will correct me if I am wrong, but think that both rode for Leicester in the McKinlay/Elliott era.

  6. Well that is a shame, he is the real class act of the World Cup ..... I know that this may well benefit GB and the Czechs and the Bees on Monday ...... but it would be sad if Sweden do not make it to the final, although I think with AJ, Max and Karlsson they have enough class to make it. At the moment speedway really needs the top teams in the Final.

    referee at Cardiff?

The Golob and AJ exclusions were extremely poor decisions, especially considering the technology available to the referee. Both riders were deprived of the chance of higher point scores as a result. They could both have been understandable errors, if he had not had the benefit of video replays. Whilst both incidents from ceratin angles could have been interpreted as Tomaz and AJ at fault, when seen from other angles they were both pure racing incidents, although Rickardson should have been excluded in his accident. I think the referee rushed his decisions under pressure. If they are to use video technology, then they should utilise every possible camera angle available before making a decision.
