7 hours ago, Hackett said:SoN - Really in the balance for me.
We were planning to go to the SoN2 / Final (Fri + Sat) - 3 adults and a 14 year old. Hotel is £450 for the two days , SoN £380/£245 approx depending on whether standing or sitting. Not included return train from London and then of course food and drinks over the weekend. So for a weekend in Manchester, all in probably looking at £1000+
I will see what the kids want to do BUT personally I would rather spend more and go to Torun for a SGP.
When I first saw the cost I don't think they will be needing the temp stand on bends 3/4
You could go to Torun for a week and spend LESS

I just add them at the bottom SF 1 R,B,W,Y and also SF 2 and Final the same- they are covered in the points scored parts.

Don`t you mean Denmark ?

Not a problem- advantage is all with the punters who can if they want to watch qualifying, see how quick each are, whereas i have to put up the spread a week before and it’s all about intuition and enticing the punters to have a bet on a particular rider.
most punters back more but figures show it’s a better bet to back less- here endeth the lesson on spread betting !

With qualifying now later on the afternoon of the GP`s( except Warsaw and Cardiff which are the day before) the draw will not be done until about 3.15pm UK time. i am not sure if JK will be able to do the racecards post draw any longer.
here is a blank one (from 2023) of his https://www.speedwayservice.at/images/racecards/2023/SGP2023-01.pdf just 16 names need to be added.

6 hours ago, speedwaysliders said:I dont want the bookmaker to know im asking questions but where is Zagar riding this year? Is he fully up to speed, match ready,as this bookmaker doent normally drop clangers with his spreads, does he know something we dont?!!!!!.Again keep it quiet i like to think us punters are always one step ahead of this Bookmaker!!!!
He has signed in Denmark but hasn’t ridden yet- basically i would imagine he is too expensive and frankly is not very good these days.

21 minutes ago, Gambo said:Jack Smith has actually been nominated for this event by Slovenia!
The place is allocated to AMZS so if they nominated him it means he will use an AMZS FIME licence. Nationality does not matter in individual meetings.
So could Slovenia have nominated Max Fricke for instance ?

Winners only

4 minutes ago, stevehone said:the only main FIM event in the year is the SWC/SoN, all the others are FIMEurope and these meetings have a lot more limitations, not only financial but also on riders allowed i.e only one GP rider in teams. Some nations choose to use a GP rider, some choose to blood youngsters, others choose experience with youngsters. It's about finding the balance and of course riders that want to be involved. Pulling on a national racejacket isn't always the same now as it was in the past, sometimes it comes down to finances and availability.
I can assure you though that GB do take things incredibly seriously and are constantly working to try to progress and push riders that want to be involved and there will certainly be more medals earned this season.
So why didn’t they enter the European team Championship in 2024 ? Prize money is decent in that comp

Hi, don`t bother in trying to take money off Bet 365. This comp is the real test against the number one speedway bookie.
