  1. Surely cut off date would have been 1st July? I'd doubt newcastle or Sheffield will qualify with not having an average but having rid quite a few fixtures( in kings case).... So I think the way the league fixtures have fallen, ie hardly any away meetings...won't do us any favours.

Just guessing, but I think teams and riders for the Premier 4s will be announced after the Sheffield v Newcastle meeting (17/07/2014).

  2. Not sure, but as Colin Meredith was present at Mondays meeting. Perhaps he was looking the track/airfence over to see if we can have the British semi-final.Just a guess

Colin Meredith was down at Sheffield all day Tuesday and Wednesday of last week, supervising/installing the new air fence, and he called in at Sheffield on Monday on his way back from Belle Vue's P/P day just to check on air fence on a race day.

  3. Sorry dude, that was the only actual race I got. The problem with filming races is that you are concentrating on that instead of the actual race. I still feel watching the video back that I did not actually see the race in the flesh.

I am sure the official DVD will be on sale soon though :approve:

I know what you mean about videoing/taking photos of the meeting, your so concentrating on taking the photo you miss the actual race - if that makes sense. PS,DVD already on order. Thanks for reply, Victor.

  4. A big well done to The Sheffield Tiggers. They were very deserved winners.

Also well done to Josh Grajczonek and Travis McGowan for a great effort in getting to the Semis. The highlight of the Night for us Tiggers fans was the required 7-2 in heat 20 to qualify for the semis. :approve: HD Video of the race below...

    Heat 20 - Glasgow v Rye House

Hiya BongoBrian, Quality HD video camera you have there. Hope I am not being too selfish but did you record the FINAL race? Some Brummy fans we bumped into at Cardiff reconned Johnno was in the lead when he ef'd !!!!!!!!. I must have been asleep and missed it.

  5. Is there any word on the actual riding order? I'm doing the updates for the meeting and could do with setting everything up today as I'll be crawling out of bed just before the meeting starts and don't want to be rushing about

Hi Squall, there is a line up in this weeks SS (page 11) - I don't know if this is the official lineup though. but it's not the alphabetical one on the Scunthorpe website

  6. Strong words from Ty Proctor in the Middlesbrough Evening Gazette tonight.

"Take the meeting to anywhere else and bring it on"

"It's Ricky Ashworths home track of course he's going to win it. He rides here every week. Take it to Kings Lynn, take it anywhere else and there would have been a diferent winner".

Saying what most people are thinking. Far from sour grapes, just common sense! Ashworth wouldn't have won anywhere else!

So what Procter is saying is, at Kings Lynn Ward/Topinka wouldn't have an home advantage - yeh right.
