  1. So what average does Tai come in on then, is it 7.03 from 2014 or is he assessed as an 8 pointer, just wondering coz Emil surely had an average from 2011  but when he rode for Coventry but was assessed as an 8 this season, unless it's because his average was 12 yr old rather then 9 yr old like Tai's, just asking.

But I can't conceive how he could be assessed at anything higher than 8.00, so really never an issue.

Exactly, the 2 Russians have come in on assessed 8pt averages so Tai would be the same, and Holder is currently averaging 9 ish i think so not an issue, i personally thought the average was raised higher than an 8 for a GP rider after the Witches got Gollob in a low average yrs back, mind you it was yrs ago and the rules are always changing:D

But as Laguta has found out it may not have the host of big stars but British speedway isn’t easy……it’s a far different proposition to the full throttle of Poland. If this season has shown anything it’s probably that Emil is the most naturally gifted technical rider at the moment.

Exactly this, Emil and Laguta are chalk and cheese what of ive seen of them this season, dunno what kind of money their both on but i certainly know who's giving more value for money wk in wk out.

It used to be a cracking race track and I would happily travel over from Leicester as a neutral to watch some great Speedway. For whatever reason (mainly cost I would suspect) the shale was changed some years ago and now although it can still be pretty good on occasion it's a shadow of the race track it used to be.

It's no doubt mostly down to cost and also partly down to supply haps, im sure ive read before that shale is getting harder and harder to get and it all comes from up north of the country, pretty sure it ain't cheap to transport a wagon full of the stuff either and Buster likes to save money everywhere he can.

  5. There needs to be a radical change sooner rather then later, if it ain't to late now even to make the sport more appealing to a younger fan base, ive been going since i was in my teens and im now pushing 58 and my Mum and Dad still go who are in their early 80's, we're classed as old buggers and the majority of the fan base at probably every club is of this age, when we all get to old to attend or turn are toes up who's left to attend the meetings, hardly any bugger the way i see it with how the sport is currently run.

The figures often given aren't that special these days,,, 0 to 60 in around 3 seconds,,, my road bikes do that,,,,,, but if they said more horse power per ton than a bugatti veron,,, that's more impressive,,, wrecks a tyre in under 4 minutes,,, wow.  You can make it sound more appealing to youngsters straight away

Wrecks um within a couple of laps round Peterborough:D

  7. Speedway in the UK has been living beyond its means for yrs and simply can't compete or compare to how the sport is run in say Poland, paying out mega bucks to get the GP boys over here ain't the answer coz it don't generally pay for itself as in putting enough extra bums on seats to cover the cost so it's needs a decent club to sponsor to cover the cost, im just as happy to see lower grade riders race then the top boys race if it means the sport over here continues in some shape or form, i started watching the sport as a teenager back in the mid 70's and more often then not the riders turned up with a bike strapped to the back of a car and not have all these fancy vans like 2day and they also held down a job outside of the sport, these days the riders want/expect to much but the clubs still find a way to shell out for them which generally they can't afford without like mentioned big sponsors.

  8. I think it's just people getting  frustrated when King gets beat by second strings/reserves who he should be beating, but like said the others ain't really doing their job either, Riss woeful most wks, and Rew not haps going as well as a lot people expected.

As third heat leader, one might question why he's in heats13 and 15??

In previous yrs not this yr, King normally catches heats 10/12, and there the heats he goes missing from time to time and gets beat by riders he should be beating home and away.

That's why I think he's a waste of money, Not willing to put the effort in for the management, team mates and fans.

If Laguta tried as hard as Emil there wouldn't be a problem, he's very much a gating tart and doesn't very often chase down and pass people, whereas Emil rides his heart out every race, I'd have Emil over Laguta everyday of the weak personally.
