  1. I rarely post on here as i cant be bother to get into twit for tatt saftness but some of the crap iv read on here is unbelievable, Darcy ward, fantastic rider a true racer, he can ride a bike, speedway would be worse off without him, he's good and he knows it & i hope it all works out for him, have none of u ever done anything silly ???? he's 20 years of age and he's on a well earned break at home with his mates he aint seen all year, the kids having fun or is that not allowed is he the first rider to ever get pissed & smoke weed ????? i doubt it , the difference is he's got caught, lets face it its got nothing to do with you, or the bspa, he aint even in our country. As for neil, he's got a point & thats just the decent kids, there's a good number of Darcys generation running round stabbing and shooting each other, robbing old ladies to feed there crack habbit. To lose his job for saying that, get real, bet if you got your sad ways he'd be hung. None of that rant was aimed at the people who are sticking up for darcy & neil, keep up the fight against the haters

Dudley Sign A 43 Year Old!

He wasnt too fussed about what you said anyway Kelvin, he just laughed. I think riders like Mark are great for our sport & bringing on youngsters, there should be more older riders like him in the NL, they have bags full of speedway experiance plus more impotantly they have life experiance to bring a team together & mature it ready for the next step,Lets face it the kids of today don't like to listen to old has beens but they listen when the old has been is out there riding and part of there team. I think the best way to produce british riders is to have ameture leagues for novice to a 2 or 3 point av NL rider Have NL for riders of any age & then the PL must have at least have 2 brits per team & same for EL, there's loads of foreign riders riding in the uk that could be replaced by brits. We also need more training facilities, i think your wife mentioned something about mallory park ?? brilliant its the way forward, theres loads of possible sites all over the country & we dont need stadium's just a track in a feild where kids can rider regular & progress, you should av a chat with Mark if u ever get the chance because he's pasionate about speedway & really has a lot to offer the youngsters of the sport keep up the good work kieron

    The Future Of British Riders

I think a good place to start would be to look at local buisnesses look at the premasis they have & see if thwere is any vacant land attatched, speak to as many people about it as possible, also go & speak to any local farmers & see if they have any spare feilds, there's loads of farmers who have feilds that they can't do anything with & a bit of extra income ;letting kids rip round there would be proberbly gratefull, there's loads of motocross meetings every week around the country all on farmers land, all you need is a corner of a field & a few tonns of shale, could prob get away with tyre packed dirt. it doesnt need to be glamouress just something to get the kids a bit of bike time. If you want to make a name for yourself in the speedway world i think cracking the training situation would do it.

    The Future Of British Riders

Too right, there needs to be more training tracks, i can understand some clubs not having the room or available time to build a track or allow training on there main tracks but there should be more done. I wouldn't have thought it would be too difficult to build training tracks around the country, i don't suppose there would be half the planning restrictions as there would be if you were building a track to host race meetings. The bspa need to promote speedway to youngsters & get them involved, the more young kids wanting to ride speedway would get more families to the tracks, most kids being a speedway rider is just a dream unless you have rich parents willing to drive the lenth of the country for 20 laps once a week. Give someone a unicycle & let them practice 4minuites per week...... whats the chance of becoming a world class performer ????? not much
