Well done Jane, you've done well to get Robert again. It shows how well you treat and develop your riders.

The "American Blitzkrieg" tour - Hey Ho, Let's Go! What better song than Blitzkrieg Bop to open every meeting of the tour? RIP Ramones.

I also didn't like the "I also like to bring the riders I want to bring" comment either. I sort of appreciate what's behind it but it doesn't feel too good.

Future Of The National League
Howard Devoto replied to boston five's topic in National League Speedway
What, has Tony Dart managed to start his car and get a mobile?!!! Obviously the return of Mildenhall would be great news but recent disappointments suggests this is a case of nothing is signed until it is! -
Newport V Buxton - Nl Playoff 29/10
Howard Devoto replied to chris1's topic in National League Speedway
Fair enough, that's better than not getting a result or holding it over to the start of next season when both teams will almost certainly have different riders. Here's to the best team winning tomorrow. -
Newport V Buxton - Nl Playoff 29/10
Howard Devoto replied to chris1's topic in National League Speedway
Jayne is right that everyone raced under the rules agreed at the start of the season so whoever wins the Play off Final is worthy champions. I'm not clear though - is the Play off Final now one leg as Newport didn't manage to host their leg? -
Absolutely. The ultimate example.

It really does seem the time for Weymouth fans to show they will support the Club in the future by making positive comments and going along tomorrow. All this negative stuff can only harm the chances of a potential buyer. I hope even those who have an issue with Phil Bartlett go along tomorrow and show there is a Club worth saving.

Elrc - 16th October
Howard Devoto replied to Panthers99's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Long ago, I think he used to be known as Captain Beaky! Good that Mike B will be there tonight adding to the occasion. Like others, I couldn't see Bomber pulling out. I expect him to at least make the rostrum. -
Elrc - 16th October

The more I look at the ELRC line up, the more I want to go. I'd originally planned to go to Leigh Adam's Farewell instead but reviewed that once he pulled out of the EL Riders showpiece. Each event costs £20 and in my mind there is no doubt which event has the best line up with riders racing for real for something they'll actually want to win. Bomber v Scott v Holder v Hans v Bjerre v Lindgren v Kasprzak and more plus a good weather forecast. Bring it on! -
Leigh Adams Farewell 17/10 In England
Howard Devoto replied to keef's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
I'm shocked that Leigh has apparently pulled out of the EORC which is the day before his Farewell. Not the best way to end his career here. Does this mean he also wont be riding in his Farewell meeting? I wasn't sure which £20 meeting to go to but now I'll spend my £20 at the EORC as despite the withdrawals, it looks a better line up and the guys should really be racing. -
Referee Needs To Go To Specsavers
Howard Devoto replied to sirmattyisbac's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
"Easy way out of the reffing problem is to have two refs at each of any top meetings". There were two refs - Tony Steele was in the Box with him. -
Referee Needs To Go To Specsavers

This was awful ref'ing and I think the guy has form. What was Tony Steele doing stood behind the ref? Presumably as his Assistant Ref? A truly dreadful performance from the officials. -
British Final

Why isn't this on Sky? Amazing that Sky have chosen to do Reading v Rye House instead. £15 is very fair for entrance. -
Hard Racing Or Dirty Riding?
Howard Devoto replied to Stephen JIM Owens's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Is that why he allowed Hancock to get away with an outrageous roller off the graveyard gate 4 and straight into the lead? Also Leigh Adams a vital roll when off gate 3? And Scott Nicholls a free go again when he rolled and caught himself out?
