  1. From the declared team the only one riding under their average is the one everyone expected to struggle at the start.

Winning at home is what really matters in the first year, this side was predicted to take some hidings on the road and not many will come from Poole without it looking like a battering, Cook has been good for double figures all season and if he'd have hit the norm it wouldn't have looked so bad.

Don't think there is a need to panic for Workington.

  2. Enjoyed watching it this morning after managing to avoid any spoilers.

Doyle rather lucky twice but the semi could have gone either way, fantastic ride in the final though.

Lambert looking more the rider he should be after some poor trapping later in the meeting.

gutted for the German, he’d made a flyer off 2 and seemed to have pace all night. He was very lucky to stay on after Zmarzlik nearly put him into row z which was apparently just him pushing it!

someone pointed out about Bewley not covering his inside and I hadn’t noticed until this GP, he needs to sort that sharpish if he’s gonna kick on. Has he still got Jacko with him? He needs a wise old head to help him with that sort of defensive riding when he’s not able to set off into the sunset.

If they can replicate that track at Cardiff it’ll be a decent evening

Lidsey and Blodorn deff haven't not sure about the other 2 would imagine Bewley has in past.

Bewley rode there in 2016 for Belle Vue in the NL got 17 from 7.

Only two others left riding from that meeting as well, Hume and Jack Smith. Shame as there were some good prospects in there

So why comment at all if you do not know anything, can of worms?

Not sure I’ve opened a can of worms?
Pretty obvious that the family have invested a significant amount of time, effort and ultimately money in helping them progress.

Dan deserves to be in the international set up at the younger levels but doesn’t seem to get picked for any- unless they have and haven’t taken the offers. Something fans will probably never be privy too! Although your accusation of opening a can of worms certainly could lead someone to think there is more to it…not for me to say though as I of course do not know anything!

The British sides selected by Allen & Stead, seem to follow a list of rides, which doesn't change.

    Woffy, Lambert, Bewley for SON

    Add Ellis, Brennan for SWC

So for European events it's Bewley, Ellis, Brennan, Harris (then dropped for Jenkins).

Now we have Boughen ahead of Dan T. It seems like ability doesn't move you up the "rankings" mainly how willing riders are to travel.

Connor Bailey as U21 Champ not a reserve for Cardiff as he didn't travel for European events for example.

They seem to have taken the Southgate approach. Pick on name, team and reputation not form

It does feel like Boughen should be in and around the squad as he is widely lauded as the next big thing but Jenkins was a very odd choice for me.

The Thompson family don't come across as not willing to travel to help aid their lads development (don't know anything about them to comment further).

The higher ups shouldn't be allowing Oxford to manipulate the guest booking rule, They should've been forced into replacing Kerr with Riss.

Isn't this the kind of thing Phil Morris should be preventing/commenting on with some justification around the decisions made?

  7. Cheapest hotel for the duration I can find is £393 for two in the sports village so pretty close, cheapest tickets for two (my old man needs a seat) will be £304, £330 for a decent spot in the grandstand.

    £75 minimum for fuel.

Best part of £800 before food and drink. No thanks, I'll watch it on TV if I can get it on the Discovery app as it probably won't all be on Eurosport again.

Wonder how much of an effect it will have on the already dwindling GP attendance

For those who are only reading this thread and didn't attend the meeting, it hard to believe but there was an actual meeting with racing and with bikes on track.

    Crazy.

As much as I loath his approach, appears Woffinden was right that people are more interested in the drama behind the sport than the actual racing these days!

Entry by donation to new air fence fund.

Season tickets available to purchase and collect.

Only home straight and bends 1 & 2 open.

Public access to pits allowed for fans in a cordoned area prior to riders taking to the track at approx 12pm.

Rider bike warm up and pits closed to public at 11:45am.

Meet the riders from 7pm in the Waverley hotel

Reading that having a quick 5 from work with a cuppa while the sun is blazing is making me more jealous of a PnP than I have in years!

Enjoy it Comets fans, hopefully a great season ahead watching some top young prospects at what appears to be a great little set up!
