Who Was The Best Rider In The World In 2013?
tidgy replied to Gavan's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
The best rider in the world at present is the no 1 and that is Tai, others may be more exciting or had injuries that stopped there season from being better, but every one remembers the World Champ, the rest were who he beat. Next year ?????? -
Tai is a proven World Champion, he was awesome last year and i always thought he had the talent to do it. Darcy also has the talent but as yet has not completed his goal . Tai is the better gater for sure and if Darcy can up his gating will be there or there abouts for sure, but Tai has been there and done it. who is best, well i dont know, but we do know Tai is a Champion.

Speedway is going to the wall at Elite level, he needs to earn money and the premier league is the safest bet, if it clashes with Swindon he needs to move on. Its a short career and the elite league is gunna be rubbishe anyway

Dont see what all the fuss is about, the league will be full of mediocre riders and fans will be paying top dollar to watch. Lots of riders of reserve standard are in the main body of the team, and riders being mentioned on here are not going to make the league any better. Yes Kyle is a very good reserve, but Smarty is unproven at this level and has been hard to handle in the past. Looking at some of the final line-ups wont inspire me to get off me arse and pay £17 to watch. Poor teams with poor crowds i think for next season.
-
I think Darcy will also need a good 3rd heat leader, Magic is not great away from home as his away average shows from last season
-
like it, cheers

Im not ridiculing anybody, i say it as i see it, and if you support K/L through good and bad then you have a lot of patience . Where the god bit come from i dont know and all rules are there to use, not stunts.
-
Wolves without Tai will imo be a very poor side, with Freddie already gone, they need a real top liner to lead the team and get crowds in.

What a load of dross, your impression of me and the main difference between us is mind boggling, i dont know you from adam, and you certainly dont know me. I would much rather watch a close match than a trouncing, but i dont want to see mediocre riders and pay top money for the privilage. I guess you watch K/L so i hope you enjoy watching your bottom 4 get trounced.

Will be interesting to see how many are at any tracks this coming season to watch a very diluted League. Poole have a good fan base but they too are dwindling away because of whats on offer. We are lucky in that we had Greg, Darcy and Noddy to watch last year, but at the moment we only have Darcy for next season. Looking at some of the signings for next season does not inspire me to pay £17 to watch it. Yes Poole are always competitive, but some of the dross served up by some teams last year was awful imo. If Wolves dont sign Tai then they really are not going to draw crowds away from home, but with the World Champ hopefully people will get people off there arses to come take a look. Crowds are dwindling everywhere, the teams are getting weaker, the top boys are leaving in there droves, so watch the crowds and see what happens to all teams. Admission charges must be dropped to watch inferior speedway imo as Kings Lynn for instance have 3 good riders and 4 national standard riders imo. The Poole knockers do not like that Matt brings success to Poole, but if other clubs had his outlay and fan backing then they would be in the same boat, but some clubs are really struggling to draw 1000, through the turnstiles and that is simply not enough to survive and thrive on, and gates will surely drop with whats on offer next year unless the admission drops.

Poole fans will turn up in great numbers like they always do. Matt and the Poole staff will put on a great show as they always do. Tim will be shown the respect he is clearly due by all that turn up. Newport can have the meeting back in 2009 if there running again. Whats the problem?
