    Pboro vs kings Lynn

And of course the same man will be paying 14 riders had the meeting gone ahead tonight and took a big financial hit on the attendance- so makes perfect common sense financially to call it off .
  2. I do feel for Panthers fans you’ve had a rough season - but in Busters defence he owns kings Lynn the promotion and the stadium -Pboro he just owns the promotion and the stadiums future is up in the the air with no certainty it be available for 2024 - so if any of you was Buster what you do ? It obvious at this point he’s got to favour KL
  3. Think Lakeside used to do £10 admission for tv meetings- they could try £10 off if you buy a ticket for the next meeting at the same time or a free programme- guess the argument is die hards turn up what ever happens so don’t need to do incentives .
  4. The last promoter that actually used to promote at Kings Lynn was Jonathan Chapman in the School summer holidays he ran themed nights with give always to the kids he have a advertisement board on a small truck used go round nearby Hunstanton trying to attract holidaymakers he tried - since then it’s suck it and see how many turn up - the bit that gets me they try the same old and basically hope the die hards turn up .
  5. Very wise words and I agree but it not just this Thursday meeting that fans need to return for its every home meeting the question that never is asked by any promotion is why fans have walked away it’s not just Kings Lynn it’s almost every club season on season crowds have dwindled with nothing being done by promotions to address the problems- your are correct in what you say but would go in a restaurant week after week if you didn’t enjoy the food just so it didn’t close ? And that’s what fans have done walked away because they don’t like what’s on offer and doesn’t represent value for the £22 .I certainly don’t want any club least of all Kings Lynn to close but was has changed since the last home meeting? absolutely nothing sadly to say .
  6. Sadly more professional is not something that goes hand in hand with British Speedway since the 1980s and 90s .

    Kings Lynn 2023

Another 6 weeks 7 at a push allowing for rain offs and or others reasons for call offs the season will be over for Kings Lynn so little point in any changes now - hopefully now potential new promoter is already in contact with Buster and hopefully talks are already taking place regarding 2024 season as can anyone really see Buster carrying on running the speedway at KL beyond the end of August 2023 .

    Kings Lynn 2023

Totally agree - he had his family before this season started and should have definitely finished the season then stepped down - in reality he’s walked away leaving Buster to pick the carnage up and could ultimately spell the end of the club . Sadly Brady could be remembered for one thing .

    Plans for next season ?

I’d not worry about next season just yet it’s only July there is plenty of racing still to come this season - next season who knows but for some clubs just enjoy what’s left of this season as it could be some clubs last
  10. Well I’ve looked on Twitter and from what I can see on Chris Louis Twitter page Chris definitely did not say what your quoting in fact he defended Buster .

    Kings Lynn 2023

And if not an issue why cancel Mondays meeting ?

    Kings Lynn 2023

Two meetings in 3 days for Busters clubs in a perfect storm sadly for disaster 14 riders to pay twice poor crowd at both clubs . Unless there is a sponsor who perhaps could sponsor both meetings that is going to be a difficult 3 days for both clubs .

    Kings Lynn 2023

And that’s why Stars v Panthers is off on Monday he’s 14 riders to pay and the numbers don’t add up financially it be suicide to run it - on attendees alone so seeking financial help .
  14. As things stand I’d say Pboro worth vertically nothing - with two months of the season left no certainty over availability of the Showground for 2024 or even a league to race in how things are developing at other clubs if I was Buster I’d take whatever I could get cus the value of the club goes down every day

    Kings Lynn 2023

Without doubt Brady had serious personal reasons for walking away but he’s left the club in an almighty mess and can’t walk and take no responsibility for the aftermath. Peterborough fans was promised the world by a potential new owner who didn’t or hasn’t yet bought the club- then Carl Johnson walks away just as Brady has at Lynn there is two common denominators at both clubs . As for Mondays Stars v Panthers being cancelled doesn’t take much to figure out Buster 14 riders to pay instead of 7 with poor crowds and Laguta to pay I’d guess it be financial suicide to run without extra backing .

    Kings Lynn 2023

I agree with your sentiment 100% but you’d not go in a restaurant every week if the food wasn’t good just cus you don’t want the restaurant to close - winning team isn’t the be all and end all for many all we want is good close racing feeling like you been entertained value for money ( certainly not worth £22 ) and for me not being taken for granted that you’ll turn up each week with 0% effort from the promotion to make fans feel valued. I certainly don’t want any club to close least of all Kings Lynn .

    Kings Lynn 2023

I actually agree with you Brady had totally s###t on Lynn he might well have serious personal reasons to quit but his actions could well have single handedly finished the club .
  18. It’s all about completion of fixtures get to the end of next month then that’s it until 2024 - and up to those on show to show how keen they are to return next season. for me last night only Simon Lambert and TJ showed that commitment . Forget Laguta he won’t be back . Not finishing bottom of the league should be achievable only because Pboro have a worse team than KL - but doesn’t look good when the bottom two clubs are owned by the same person .
  19. We shouldn’t be under no illusion it’s all about money he doesn’t care about Kings Lynn - as I say I only caught a glimpse of his pit on tv - someone at the meeting might confirm this either way .
  20. I thought after Laguta last ride shortly after the camera panned round and Laguta pit was empty. I might be wrong though
  21. What was the point in putting Klindt in heat 15 ? well done Simon Lambert great performance .
  22. Just noticed this meeting is on being streamed on British Speedway Network bet Buster doing a rain dance or pit gate malfunction
  23. Another poor line up against a very strong Sheffield side so sadly I’d expect another poor crowd - think it’s all about competing fixtures and get to the end of August that be it till March 2024 hopefully

    Wolves vs Kings Lynn

I think you are correct- why else would you take a great sport in the 70-80and 90s and basically run it into the ground and year on year weaken the product to cut costs rather than trying to sort out why crowds have dwindled and actually promoting the sport -the saying it’s not over till the fat lady sings well she’s warming up ready to start singing .

    Wolves vs Kings Lynn

That makes terrible reading - and if you take the two guests scores of the total as well Morris 11 and Harris 1 leaves just 13 point scored by Kings Lynn contracted riders which quite honestly is absolutely terrible not even a point a race . Sooner the season ends for Kings Lynn the better it’s just going through the motions of completing the fixtures .Can even see Pboro finishing ahead of us on this form
