I might have this all wrong, but as I read TR's comments the track will be re-shaped within the confines of the existing dog track . The rest of the stadium would be staying exactly as is until such time that the planning is agreed so the dogs can continue without interruption i would imagine??

Belle Vue v Somerset KO Cup Semi Final 2nd Leg 19.9.18
Dave Jones replied to Aces51's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I think the south coast poster is serving a little ban at present so we might have to wait . -
I'm not completely sure TBH but a quick check on a routefinder states that the The Moto Park which was in Nanpean I think, is some 9 miles away from Par.???
-
Every chance it's the same location I would imagine. The Cornish Stadium was in Par, and the Eden Project has a postal address of Bodelva which is also in Par.

I don't think people are. They are just comparing The Aces to The Pirates.
-
I think it's also fair to remind Shovlar & starman that The aces have been running continuously since 1928, even operating through WW2. A history that no other club operating currently can match I believe. For their part The pirates didn't get started until twenty years later (1948) and there have been gaps in their history where the club has closed down for periods. When considering greatness history is most important, it's unfair to just select a short period (as you call it the modern era ) & expect everyone to forget the rest , to justify a claim.

A little while back Skidder asked " what it all had to do with Poole 2019?" I suppose we could say it's closer to the topic than the comedy being posted by Shovlar & his shadow.
-
If you had enough intelligence to enable you to understand my post you wouldn't need to ask this question.
-
Determining the " biggest club" is surely more about history +achievements . That will put Poole way down the list particularly when compared to a club like the Aces. Form is temporary class is permanent as someone once said.

I would think that last night's heat 13 in the best I have ever seen in Speedway

If only speedway had a few more" Barry Bishops", a promoter who understands the requirements of operating a business in the 21st century and the importance of keeping the fans onside. -
The continuing decline of Speedway
Dave Jones replied to wealdstone's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I don't disagree with the person you quoted but i think we have seen from past experience that anyone who tries to implement change ( particularly a new member of the organisation) is on a hiding to nothing and will forced out before he knows what's happened. The "mafia " as I describe them don't take kindly to anyone prepared speak publicly or try to enforce any changes to their system. It would be wonderful to see someone grab hold of this sport and put it on a proper footing, but it's going to be extremely difficult IMO. -
The continuing decline of Speedway
Dave Jones replied to wealdstone's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Not my intention at all. My view is that that it is controlled by a select few who are entrenched in their out of date thinking and ideas, they refuse to accept the type of changes that are required to put the sport on a better footing. A fair and transparent set of rules which apply to all would be an excellent starting point, but I'm not about to hold my breath. -

Fair play to the promoter concerned, he is of course spot on. Unfortunately we've"been there " before and those that spoke up are now ex promoters. The unwritten rule at BSPA towers appears to be step out of line at your peril. -
Given his declared " leanings" there's a decent chance he will be.

They are all youngsters at the Hawthorns really, it's just that having to put up with the stuff TP & Pardew served up it's taken its toll on them. -

mental case..!!

What a complete idiot you are, you come out attacking the Save Cov Group and one of the individuals involved and then blame it on me because I have got under your skin. I wonder sometimes which planet you live on, as now i realise exactly who you are I am reminded of some of the BS you were posting under your previous forum name. Everyone knows my thoughts on Mick Horton,I've been posting them since he moved in at Brandon, I don't deny I'm very hard on him but that's what I think. I would also remind you they are my own thoughts and i post on behalf of no one else. I also put my name at the top of every post I make and accept responsibility for everything I write. Unlike yourself it would seem.

SIMON!! now I've got it. The guy who, posting under another forum name , was put in his place very firmly by Jeff Davies right here on the BSF. He disappeared very quickly after that, gone for good we all thought. But no he was here all along posting under one of his other forum names, surprise surprise. It explains his attitude towards the Save Coventry Group as he is a confirmed "grudge carrier" . The guy is a loose cannon , can fall out with his own shadow, & gives me the impression that he has a mental disorder. It explains so much about what's been going on recently.
