    Thanks for that, Simon.

Incidentally I’ve been at all but two of the “home” meetings this season.

Happy to discuss things personally with you any time. You’ll find me around plenty of tracks.

SIMON!!  now I've got it.:D  The guy who, posting under another forum name , was put in his place very firmly by Jeff Davies right here on the BSF. He disappeared  very quickly after that, gone for good we all thought.  But no he was here all along posting under one of his other forum names, surprise surprise. It explains his attitude towards the Save Coventry Group as he is a confirmed "grudge carrier" .

The guy is a loose cannon , can fall out with his own shadow, & gives me the impression that he has  a mental disorder.  It explains so much about what's been going on recently.:D

once again  a load of unfounded opinion from you . I gave you  ample opportunity  to substantiate any one of your claims ,  but you could  not .  .now  it's blatantly obvious to  anyone reading these forums  that you  have a major attitude  towards Mick Horton  and his attempts to keep the team together  while  any other avenue gets explored , I would suggest that SCS  find themselves another mole to champion their cause  on these forums  ,because your conspiracy theories ,  unsubstantiated claims and your desire to see Mick Horton and Coventry speedwayfail , are casting a bad light over them .  I don't have any problem with what SCS are doing  as long as it's not undermining  someone elses efforts . Mick has offered to work with them  and that has fell on deaf ears , could that be for fear  ,that they may lose favour  with one or two sad, bitter and pathetic souls like you , it's ironic  that you  accuse me of an intense dislike of anybody , take a look back at your own recent posts ,and then get your own house in order before  you invent any more theories .

what a complete load of old cobblers.. You are losing the plot.:D

If you are trying to bully me off this forum you are wasting your time. I've seen plenty of others conduct themselves as you do, particularly when there is a controversial topic on the go.Posters of your ilk are so predictable in the way they handle criticism that they give themselves away very quickly...

Anyhow if you feel the need to reply with more of your garbage carry on ,I can deal with it.:D

you have already played yours .and when you were called couldn't come up with any form of hand .  anyway  you might just as well be rude it's all you have left

    choke on this https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-news/coventry-bees-speedway-owner-praised-12662677

Having seen some of the cards you've played in the last couple of days it's very obvious you have an intense dislike for everything that the save coventry  group  are trying to achieve.

i can' t imagine any genuine supporter  from wherever would do anything but applaud their efforts in gaining the support they have obtained in trying to reach their objective. Whatever the final outcome they  will be respected and thanked by the huge majority of decent people who appreciate the time and energy that they are putting in.

However it's blatantly obvious from the content of your posts that you have a major issue with anything they do, an attitude I would suggest that could only come from someone who's only desire is to see them fail, and you  are so keen to protect Horton at every opportunity it's obvious that you have a connection..

In conclusion a few of my thoughts for you just so you don't forget---

As a speedway promoter Mick Horton is unfit for purpose. He has systematically destroyed   the bees reputation since taking  over the club, and now plays it out at the lowest level  in front of one man & his dog some 20 odd miles away ( that' s when he can be bothered to open the gates). He lied to and exploited his fan base  throughout his time at brandon, and no doubt continues to do so today. The fans have made it very clear they want nothing more to do with him , he is an habitual failure where running speedway is concerned and from my perspective if he went out of business tomorrow it wouldn't be any loss to anyone around speedway in general and Coventry in particular. It certainly wouldn't harm anything else that is going on presently .

Perhaps you would like to have a little choke on that.

Plants?   I'd have found a different word for them.

(Unless you mean cactus plants, judging by these pricks)

I didn't want to be too rude as  they are beginning to play their cards now and I would hate to sit out a ban just when the topic is warming up:D

The sooner it's realised that all this save campaign is doing more harm than good the better,  I'm aware of all the spirit put into this scs group but they are all on a pointless mission - Coventry bees will never race at brandon stadium again , or at least in the way the campaign group would want it to .

As i suggested yesterday, a couple of " plants"  just here to cause as much trouble as possible, each with their own agendas.

    Too subtle for you?

Hey dave here's one fact to put in your facts file - save Coventry speedway has done nothing to save Coventry speedway. Fact.

Are you and Adonis the same person by any chance? If not it seems we have two "plants" on here defending Horton.

Once all this is concluded and the operation at Leicester closes , as it surely will, i expect you two will just disappear into the ether. As is the norm.:D

So Dave Jones finally admits he goes off what he sees and press releases etc to gather his facts and a bit of hearsay thrown in for good measure - if as I suspect you have somever with the save Coventry speedway then that would explain so much ☺associated

None whatsoever, but your comment does say much more about your purpose on this forum.

Ok   I'm most likely going to regret this and wind up getting banned  but  lets hear it , actual facts ( provable because I don't do  listening to what  you or anybody believes is a fact  )lets have all this "previous  "  layed out for all to see .   On you go !!!

A silly request, as you probably already realise.

Everyone knows that in speedway there are no facts as far as the ordinary fan is concerned, everything is covered in secrecy and dealt with " in house". We are reluctantly  told what "we need to know"

All we can go on is what we see with our own eyes and  the bits and pieces gleaned from the various press comments . I think Mr Frost made a few strong comments about Horton after his last attempt at running Peterborough, and the cost to himself in rectifying that situation.

Anyhow I find it interesting that you chose not to address any of the other comments in my last post, i can't for one second  believe you accept my view. Of course if, as I suspect, you have some association with Mick Horton then that would explain so much.:)

it's the only thing that's anything like Cov at the moment .  those who are not interested  have voted with their feet , simple if you don' want to watch what is on offer don't , that doesn't mean you should go on a crusade to try and prevent anybody else watching them . and it doesn't mean you should tirelessly try to undermine  Hortons efforts to keep the name alive and a team running , take a look back through this thread and read some of his posts , you wont find anything to do with Coventry Bees ,

I'm not trying to prevent anyone going to Leicester if that's what they enjoy, I'm just commenting on things as I see them.

IMO Mick Horton is a blight on the history of the club, his time at Brandon was the worst few years I've experienced supporting the Bees. He exploited his fan base, and told us so many lies which was totally alien to the way the club had been run for so many years. ( you can no doubt see that for me it isn't just about putting 7 guys on track and expecting  folk just to turn up, it's about how the club is run too.)

I don't see that anything that happens at Leicester has any connection with the bees whatsoever, it's just a guy using the name in an attempt to create some credibility. Unfortunately most of that was lost between 2012 and 2016, hence the fact that I don't comment on the team.

Horton has loads of "previous" when it comes to wrecking clubs and as far as I'm concerned anyone who trusts him is indeed a very brave person.

With cov v Buxton postponed with an excuse of electrical fault at the stadium or Buxton unable to field a tean, then postponement of the Fours the following week, bells started to ring. Cov v Belle vue went ahead with no show from Mick Horton, now Cov v Stoke postponed through lack of availability of stadium, although this fixture, like the others , has been on the agenda all season.  There needs to be more clarity on these  regular postponments or maybe more truth in the reasons given by this promotion. They plead for more support then treat the faithful fan base, as small as it may be, with blunt statements.

I'm surprised that anyone expected anything different.  The Coventry fans want nothing more to do with Horton ,that was made very clear at the beginning of the season. We can only hope this latest disappearance is a permanent one.

IAN, Brian Larner and Wally Mawdsley went to California. I was there. Basically told Ole that if he signed they would immediately sell him to Coventry. Already had talked Briggo into coming out of retirement for a season with Hull.

I've been present at a couple of  talk - ins where Ole spoke of his move to Coventry. He never mentioned the fact that he actually signed for Hull, but perhaps he was just " dressing it up " a little for us.:D

Best profit Ian Thomas ever made springs to mind!

Yes a huge transfer fee for a rider that never signed for them.  Mind you when you consider the cost of air fares that  Hull spent travelling around the world to try and secure O.O's  signature the profit was probably a lot less .:D.

Ole always said that he went  to the Bees because he had a gentleman's agreement with the C O  .   I 'm certain that  he never regretted his decision.

Last night's meeting was the most entertaining and competitive I have seen this season, and both sets of riders should be congratulated on their efforts. Birmingham deserved to win in the end, but it was never plain sailing, and the final scoreline does not fairly reflect the Coventry riders contribution to a cracking speedway match.

It's a great pity that for so-called "political" reasons, so many Coventry supporters refuse to support this Bees team. I do understand the reasons, but I think Bees fans should set aside these and give their team their backing. They really don't appreciate what they are missing by staying away.

Given that the bees have a promoter who is considered by many many bees fans to have aided & abetted Brandon Estates in their attempts to gain planning permission for Brandon it's extremely unlikely that they will be handing over any of their " hard earned" to support the guy . IMO

  14. I don't think i would describe it as an "iffy booking".

NSSC had been promoting the evening for weeks, Buster would have known at the time he accepted that it was close to the Prague weekend and if he had doubts then it would have been simpler to decline his invitation.

To leave it until hours before the club meeting was due to start, and, if I understand correctly use a third party to inform NSSC without any explanation is completely out of order.

I understand also that he made himself unavailable to contact from anyone from Nuneaton who tried to speak to him .

IMO that says more about Buster than any words could describe.

We had a great time yesterday can't think of anything to complain about from the ticket office staff to the stewards on the gate in the south stand to Chase the Ace to the presentation and definately to the racing everything spot on. I thought at the time that heat 15 took a bit to get going but the reasons have been pointed out to me so absolutely no problems with that. My only complaint is they built it in the wrong place instead of close to where I live

I must say that Deans comments surprised me. We have been crying out for a good quality stadium in the UK for years, now we have one which provides excellent entertainment and facilities for the paying public. I've been several times and would go regularly if it wasn't for a 160 mile round trip .

It's a pleasure to attend a speedway meeting and feel that you are still  in the 21st century.:) I usually buy my ticket in advance and everything always works out well. It's just a shame we're not likely to see anything else to match the National stadium anywhere else in this country.

Belle Vue have got it right. Either swap your ticket for another meeting or get a full refund.

It is rather hard to see a case where a club could argue that the customer is not entitled to their money back.

I wonder how other clubs deal with this kind of thing?

Belle Vue Speedway 2017 Ltd – National Speedway Stadium
    Meeting Abandonment Policy
All meetings abandoned prior to the start will entitle ticket holders to a full refund or exchange for a future
meeting within 12 months from the date of the abandoned meeting at the club (excluding BSPA, ACU
and/or FIM events). In order to obtain a refund, you must visit the ticket office or send your ticket to the
office in order for the refund to be arranged. Ticket exchanges and refunds will only be given on
production of the original ticket from the abandoned race meeting.
    Management
    Belle Vue Speedway 2017 Limited

Shows the credibility of the club. Not common in today's speedway unfortunately.

Cityrebel seems to want promoters to refund each paying customer if there is a rain off.  Has he not considered the impossibility of

doing that ?  No fan with a brain ever expects to get a cash refund if a meeting is cancelled.  While the BSPA rule is not perfect, in the

circumstances it's probably the best that can be achieved....Someone told me that cricket fans get no kind of re-fund whatever the circumstances.

I think you will find that if a cricket game is called off without a ball being bowled then a full refund is given..

I can't think of any justifiable reason for keeping a supporters cash if the entertainment fails to go ahead.
