  1. Sorry, have to butt in here : the Aussie team on the night were the best available. As much as I like and support Crumpie and Adams, it is really time that the younger riders have a turn, or you find that you will be in the same position as other sports: a bloody big hole in the team selection for several years and a huge drop in the teams ratings. The Aussie team did pretty well, I thought. It was just that on the night, the Brits were better - but can that form be guaranteed on Saturday?? Let's face it, how many times have you seen Nicholls fall flat on his face (sometimes literally) when he has needed to go well??? I reckon that tomorrow night they will have regrouped and may well surprise you. Don't write them off yet. And for those that may think I am a "turncoat " for not supporting the Brits, can I just say that Australia used to be my home for a while, my son has the heritage that his great uncle was one of the first riders to come over with Hoskins and my late father in law used to run a track in Victoria. So if that does not qualify me to support the Aussies......
  2. Anyone know the date for next years GP and if it will be at Cardiff?

    Milton Keynes

I can remember that a lot of the problem at Elfield was also due to the local residents complaining about the noise once or twice a week, despite the fact that the area had always been designated a noisy sports area. So dog racing is quiet???!!! And Hiya Concrete how ya going? Still trying to picture you when the Knights were running !!!

    Bob Humphreys

I'll go with that, really nice guy who had a lot of time for the young riders. When my ex hubby was moaning about the supporters wanting to talk to him after the match, Bob told him that he should remember that those people paid his wages and without them coming through the gate each week he wouldn't be paid (first to the bank next morning before the cheque bounced under Ron Wilson!!!) so a few minutes of his time cost nothing. Can I also say that I have been kissed by him!!! When I got married, he couldn't come to the reception as he was otherwise occupied at the NL riders championship. When we saw him at Elfield he came up and apologised and gave me a kiss - swooon!
