Absolutely. I've long said that the reason the racing is perceived to be better in tier two is purely down to the circuits. We've now lost Peterborough which was one of the better ones too, although Brum and Oxford are potentially decent. But as you say Redcar, Glasgow, Scunny and Workington are better than anything the top league can offer excluding BV which in my opinion is the best we have in the UK. We can only imagine the top riders who race over here on those best tracks......

There is more to it than averages, the Glasgow reserves have a lot more experience of Championship circuits for example. I take the general point though.
-
Yep I'd agree with the posts about Hagon, I think he'll do OK. I just think there will be stronger reserve pairings about, which puts a bit of pressure on the newcomer. That said the top four look by far the strongest in the league.

I think you could have a long old tail unless the last signing is a gem/ringer.
-
And all far better riders than Jake Allen.
-
He's a far better rider than his current average, but the question is can he get back to where he was. Better kit will certainly help.
-
Why would he not stay with the club who put a lot of faith in him last season? Lazy to just trot out the money line.
-
Thompson really should be a strong reserve up against some of the inexperience named so far.
-
Good point. It should of course be a guest for your number one only and R/R for the rest, further guests only for reserves (unattached to another Prem team) or a second/third top five member injured.

Are you the silver fox
-
Yep, and I think their seven has been known for quite a while if not announced.
-
Good side.

No no no no no

If its a choice between Brennan and Rowe then it's Tom all day long for me, as for Newman I don't think there is value in his average at all, I expect he will be back in the future if he goes elsewhere and his average dips
-
You know as well as I do that most sides will be scratching around in September to get remaining fixtures completed.
-
Riders do that every winter, it's just part of the game. If he was the right rider for Worky then why cut off your nose to spite your face?
-
Nope, they are off to Brum

I think the danger of dragging it out too long is that you risk annoying your loyal, hardcore fan base. If the idea is to keep the club in the media spotlight over several weeks then this can be done in various ways once you've named your team IMO. In mitigation Glasgow have got the wonderful idea of the charities as part of theirs which is fair enough.

Ipswich Witches 2024 serious team predictions

It's an interesting debate. I absolute get the 'groups of mid teens' thing, as someone has pointed out they do need to be accompanied by an adult. Although in Lynn's case I suspect Buster isn't really bothered as long as they are buying his food and drink! Yes it's only a pound but to flip it round why bother changing at all in that case? I think speedway needs to do all it possibly can to engage younger customers to safeguard it's future but the ticket price is only a small part of that. Its been discussed to death before but it needs to provide more than just 15 heats and some dodgy music as a night out IMO to attract new people and keep them coming. -
To British parents, and he's British U21 champion.
-
Brennan's current level is 6 in the Prem and just over 7 in the Champs......to say Bailey will never reach that seems a little negative seeing as he's only 21. From a GB perspective I hope he succeeds that level.
-
Whist you could be right I'd have thought Bailey shouldn't be written off just yet after the year he's just had. I think he could score a lot of points at the NSS in 2024.
-
But some wouldn't shell out for a season ticket if the team looked weak would they? I'd have thought best way to generate interest is to reveal your side and whet people's appetite and removing the doubt.
-
Who instead though? He's the weakest of the seven but also his signing makes sense.
