Probably not the best example of moonlighting mate considering we trained him up from a novice and lives ten miles from the track. This thread is more proof of how speedway will never prosper in the UK as its always 'us and them' rather than all clubs working together.
  3. Exactly. This will be one of Busters biggest gates of the season.

    Kings Lynn 2018..

From kingslynnstars.co CROWD pleaser Jason Garrity is on his way to King’s Lynn in time for three massive home meetings next week.Mancunian ace Garrity has just ended a 28-day spell with his local club Belle Vue as injury cover for Stevie Worrall. Now he heads to the Adrian Flux Arena in time for a triple bill of Premiership action in the space of seven days - starting on Monday July 23 against Poole. He replaces broken leg victim Lewis Kerr and club bosses are delighted to get their man for the Tru Plant Stars.Boss Dale Allitt said: “I drew up a list of four or five riders I was interested in and we held back on Jason because he was in Belle Vue’s side.“But he’s now available again and once we had confirmation of that we decided to make our move. I’m delighted to have him on board.“He’s recovered from his own injury problem and will be at Cardiff as track reserve for the British Grand Prix on Friday and will also be riding at Scunthorpe on Sunday before making his debut for us.“We have a massive spell of meetings coming up and we must win all our home meetings, it’s as simple as that.”Allitt admits it’s been a tough job patching up his injured side this season - but the play-offs remain their top target.“We can do it,” he said. “The signing of Jason excites me because he will give it his all, he will really become a firm favourite with the King’s Lynn crowd.“It’s so disappointing to lose Lewi Kerr like we did but he wants us to do well and I’m sure he’ll be the first to offer any advice to Jason.“I also talked to our skipper Robert Lambert about Jason and he gave me total support in making the move.“Now we need all our fans to get right behind us next Monday and beyond. We have a vital phase of the season to come and it’s all about a group effort.”
  8. The number of people missing the point on this thread is staggering (although it shouldn't be on this forum).

Less of a pain when there was no Poland today though. If this does happen then whoever it is needs to be sacked if they ride Tuesday. If not it's more forum tittle tattle and Chinese whispers which help nobody.

    Workington 2018 .

Me too. Fair play. Bickley has struggled a lot more than I thought but the other six have all exceeded expectations so hats off.
  11. Thanks, found it now. Final and next Euro Champs round clash?
  12. Disappointing that there is so little interest in this. Well done lads. Is Lambert available for the final?
  13. I'd say that along with those things he is much fitter and leaner and has sorted his gating out after four years of sluggish starting. He is obviously happy, settled and content with his racing (all clubs) too which makes a big difference. Great result for him last night in what was a very good meeting on an excellent race track. He really is starting to look world class.

Leicester v Kings Lynn Monday July 16th

From kingslynnstars.co KING’S Lynn travel to Leicester on Monday looking to keep in touch with their rivals in the Premiership standings (7.30).It’s a vital clash for both sides at the Paul Chapman and Sons Arena, Beaumont Park. And with skipper Robert Lambert winning the second round of the Speedway European Championships on Saturday, team boss Dale Allitt is hoping he can help inspire his team-mates as the Stars look to add to their tally.“It was another remarkable result for Robert on Saturday and he’s in stunning form this season,” Allitt said.“We’ve seen him at points already this season rub off on the other riders and they get on well as a group.“We’ve got a really pivotal part of our season coming up now and we know we can’t fall too far behind if we want to achieve our goal and reach the top four.“And while going to Leicester is never easy, there’s no reason why we can’t go there and get something if everyone performs on the night.”Simon Lambert makes his first appearance back in Stars colours against his former club with rider replacement operating for the injured Lewis Kerr at No.2.LEICESTER: Kenneth Bjerre, Ricky Wells, Charles Wright, Krystian Pieszczek, Hans Andersen, James Sarjeant, Todd Kurtz.KING’S LYNN: Niels-Kristian Iversen, Lewis Kerr R/R, Michael Palm Toft, Thomas Jorgensen, Robert Lambert, Simon Lambert, Ty Proctor.

    Kings Lynn 2018..

The options are a but thin on the ground sidney, can't see he'd be any worse than the other riders suggested.

    Kings Lynn 2018..

    Kevin Wolbert for Kerr?
  17. Removing Poole from the argument (is not all about them all the time) I think there should be a maximum number of changes per season. Back in 2002 Wagstaff used twenty odd riders across the season and it was ridiculous, it was impossible to bond with most of the team as they kept getting replaced. Operate squads if need be but any more than three or four non injury changes is too many.

    Kings Lynn 2018..

I'm sure it wouldn't be a permanent thing but you're right, R/R is undesirable for several reasons. Ostergaard and Garrity have been mentioned and I think I'd take either of those.
  19. Bagpuss

    Kings Lynn 2018..

R/R will probably work quite well for the rest of this month but once Kerr drops back to reserve a signing will have to be made, if Huckenbeck could be persuaded to do a couple of months that could be a great move. It's very much a less than ideal situation all round though. As Daniel says the management are between a rock and a hard place really.

    Eastbourne v mildenhall 14/7/18 OFF

Perfect illustration that you can't please all of the people all of the time. I think people need to understand just how financially precarious British speedway is, anything which may lead to a reduced crowd means a postponement needs to be seriously considered.

Another post rushed into without finding the facts.....

    Kings Lynn 2018..

I thought the deadline was some time in August? If it is the end of July then I presume the 28 day nature of Lambert's contract means that he and Andersen could be replaced before it elapses by a third rider.
  23. Bagpuss

    Kings Lynn 2018..

Yep, at least Lambert should be reasonably competitive at Lynn. Morley was the only other rider I could see who might be suitable without being too inexperienced, and the fact that it's a 28 day deal for Lambert suggests that somebody stronger will come in for the latter stages of the season.
