  1. autocorrect makes me look a pillock once again!
  2. The rise and fall if Heeps over the last twelve months or so is really puzzling.
  3. He did but scored quite well in Poland and Sweden this week. We need him to start pulling his finger out sharpish over here, starting on Monday hopefully. Hadn't realised that to be fair, but as Haza says we have a couple of matches in hand. The key is going to be getting a full side out going forward.
  4. Behave! That's the first hiding we've had.
  5. Mildenhall too, seen some belting races there back in their PL days.
  6. Just worked out that heats 13 & 15 were Robert's 34th and 35th heats in the past six days.....no wonder he ran out if steam. As for the rest.....embarrassing.
  7. One man team tonight. Even with the missing riders who would have kept things much closer that's a disappointing scoreline.
  8. Indeed. Pick that team and say goodbye to the play offs. Or stomach the absences and stand a reasonable chance of finishing top four.
  9. Any suggestions on the 'available options'?

    Belle Vue 2018

    What's your name, Shovlar?
  11. They have if they thought they could get away with fibbing and hoodwinking fans but in this particular instance I can't see the value in that or what they can get away with. They have obviously negotiated with MPT's Danish club and its not gone their way at the last minute.
  12. Maybe he was released and then recalled all since before the weekend? It depends if you trust what the promotion say, personally I do but I can understand why some people don't. If he was never going to ride I don't see why the club didn't declare a guest in the first place, they had nothing to gain by telling fibs for the last five days.
  13. If you read the press release it says that Lynn were assured that MPT wasn't required in Denmark and then he was recalled at the last minute, no reason to disbelieve that. Good to hear that Iversen, Jorgensen and Andersen have no clashes left but one wonders if they can be recalled at the eleventh hour too.
  14. Proctor and Palm Toft out tonight plus news of future Danish absences http://kingslynnstars.co/news.php?extend.30646

Brummies v Buxton Wed 13 JUNE NT

Another scoreline which won't do the league any good.
  16. Can't agree with that, it's about getting both team members over the finish line before the opponent's two riders, as it should be. If a rider dashes off into the distance every time with no regard for his teammate a la Milik that's not pairs/team speedway.
  17. Many British tracks are far to narrow going into and coming out of the bends, mainly because of the constraints of other sports at those venues. Not enough have multiple racing lines where riders don't have to form an orderly queue and the end of each straight.
  18. I've met his mum and she is the nicest person you could wish to meet. I think Robert has noticeably matured the last couple of seasons and its probably no surprise that a sportsman 18 years old or younger won't always make the right decisions. Could well be that his parents who no doubt only want the best for him have learned things and how to take a step back along the way. People (fans) in speedway tend to hold grudges for far too long unfortunately, doesn't do anybody any good at the end of the day.
  19. We need a strong guest for Palm Toft otherwise we are going to get marmalised at reserve.
  20. Superb performance from the Norfolk boy, so proud to be able to say that he grew up ten miles or so from where I live! Thoroughly deserved. Well done to Dan Bewley too, both fantastic talents who will be in the GP's one day.
  21. Robert could really do with winning this to back up his SoN performances last week, will be tough though against Cook and Bewley who know the track exceptionally well.
  22. Agree about MJJ, he was excellent over the two nights. Quality performer when on song. While I agree that GB probably got their tactics wrong in the final, to pin it all on Woffinden is ridiculous. I'm pretty sure the whole team would have discussed it beforehand and decided on a plan which they thought would work best, ie both riders fending for themselves if separated.
  23. Exactly. Unless he suffers a reaction from today after the event then he'll be riding Wednesday, as stated before his treatment.

    Berwick v Redcar 9/6/18

What a childish thread. 'Your rider knocked our rider off blah blah blah'. Dear me. Are we not all grown adults?
