I'm not sure he is on the way down necessarily, seems to have rekindled his career this year at Redcar.

Kings Lynn Stars V Belle Vue Aces 21/06/17
Bagpuss replied to semion's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
In speedway terms I guess that is part of being outclassed. -

I saw no lack of appetite or effort last week, just a meeting where we were completely outclassed. -
British Final (belle Vue) 19th June 2017

'Can't be arsed' is harsh. It's on the interests of everyone that the field is as strong as possible, so there should be some kind of safety net for a break down, injury, engine trouble etc. Either that or seed the top half a dozen like they do in the U21's. -

Cook was pulling lines that nobody else was, as has been said the idea that the track has no home advantage at all is a myth. That said they have to hold it somewhere and there is nowhere better than Belle Vue. Looking forward to Cook doing some damage at Cardiff. -
Yep you are right, I was looking at the wrong figures. Can't be long until someone signs him after last night's performance.

Average too high it would seem.

Speedway World Cup 2017

Australia have an embarrassment of riches, they could probably enter two teams at Lynn and finish first & second. You'd imagine they will go Doyle, Holder, Batch and Masters but at least three of the others can stake a strong claim. -

Think we have got our wires crossed, I never referred to Schlein at all. The original point was about Woffinden and Lambert not riding. -
Barker is one of the names I'd thought of, along with Wolbert.

Yes really. Why on earth would you not want the field to be as strong as possible? BTW who said Lawson was a gating tart? Must have been an Embra fan. -
Peterborough Panthers Vs Sheffield Tigers Sgbc 18/06/17
Bagpuss replied to Panthers89's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Yes but the person to which you refer is a comedy poster, created purely to get bites. Amazing that people actually get drawn into replying to it. Just can't get my head around people wallowing in the fact that the team of others have lost, thought we were all a bit more mature than that. -

Indeed. Anybody saying any different either has an agenda or is telling fibs. -
Very little around who would have fitted and not a name I had thought of but he has started the season quite well and knows the tracks lets see how he goes.

Same old people trolling on the same old threads week after week. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz -
You would imagine clubs are a bit reluctant because his Polish team could click their fingers at any time and he would have to go running, and that could mean no more UK.

Newcastle V Glasgow Championship 18 June 2017
Bagpuss replied to jackofdiamonds's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Away wins are never easy no matter the opposition, the way I see it three points is a great result and the fourth point is an absolute bonus. Little wonder Glasgow couldn't get that extra point with Robert piling up a six ride max. -

Harris may not have had the best meeting today but he is a great addition to the league and will put bums on seats wherever he goes. -
There are so many team spots, inevitable that some riders will be left by the wayside. Feel for Jacobs though as a Brit. Agree about Shanes, needs giving an average as anybody who uses him as a guest at seven starts with a big advantage. The Vatcher thing is very childish though.

What Makes A Good Speedway Track?
Bagpuss replied to steve roberts's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
What makes a good track? Not the dirt that King's Lynn use that's for sure. In terms of size I personally don't think you can beat a full throttle track like Belle Vue, P'boro or Scunny. A good race on a fast track will always trump one in a tight circuit because you get more speed. Most important though is the width of the entry into the bends and the preparation. -
We are arguably stronger with R/R, Huckenbeck will probably have seven rides on Wednesday and if he's on song we will win.
-
Agree it's a big meeting on Wednesday, we need Lambert and Rose back to their best.
-
All very well to label riders 'throttle jockeys' but tricky tracks are best ridden in an attacking fashion are they not? Also if the three most experienced and accomplished riders all ended up on the deck then those with far less laps round the block will inevitably struggle to stay upright.
