Belle Vue V King's Lynn Wed 24th Aug
Bagpuss replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
A glimpse of what might have been this season. -
Very much so, a tale of what might have been this season.

One swallow doesn't make a summer but great effort from Kai this evening.

King's Lynn V The Wolves 25/08/16

In my experience there can be quite a difference between what fans and riders consider to be the best racetracks. -

Wonder where young Bewley will end up next year? Belle Vue will surely use him meaning no Friday night PL track. -
He's obviously got ability and is young enough to improve, didn't expect too much from him away from home due to seeing tracks for the first time and has shown flashes at Lynn that he could be a decent asset over time. Certainly think he looks better than Jakobsen who has had the luxury of being a ringer reserve when he has ridden.

I think Huckenbeck is worth persevering with next season. There are one or two others though who need clearing out.

Really excited by Bewley. -
It was a rare good Lynn performance from him to be fair.

Move away from Scotland? -
Good luck to Josh Bailey, great to see two home grown lads lining up reserve.
-
I think double uppers should ride in the higher standard league where there is a clash but in the case of rearrangement the original fixture should always take precedence, it's not even a debate. Awful decision by Lynn I'm afraid.

If it p!sses Drury off I'm all for it.

I like Tatum but find Pearson too shouty personally, think there is a balance between enthusiasm and unnecessary barking.

Burger anyone? -
I don't think the SCB are fit for purpose. Or the BSPA for that matter. Won't ever happen but a new governing body and rule book is what British speedway desperately needs.
-
Great news, will be going to Lynn v Wolves in a couple of weeks when I may not have bothered again this season otherwise!

So Who Is Going To Win The El In 2016?
Bagpuss replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Poole have bigger home advantage, better reserves and more experience of winning Play Off finals than Belle Vue so it's theirs to lose. Think most neutrals will be behind the Aces though. Wolves have a good chance if Woffy returns although their reserves are poor. -
Supply and demand, if he wants to come and Wolves want him then great. He will put bums on seats. He's a Wolves asset. Morally nothing wrong with it, and if he stops the south coast mafia winning then even better.

Really? Lynn can be over grippy, too grippy on the inside and occasionly overwatered but I can't remember the last time it wasn't smooth and consistent.

Ah, the old Steve Shovlar style 'pretend we haven't got a chance so we can trumpet even louder when we win' tactic from the Embra contingent. -

Robert Lambert has a fantastic racing brain, take our from somebody who had seen him ride regularly over the last three seasons. -
I think Rob has looked disillusioned for two or three years now, wouldn't be surprised if this is his last.
