    Swedish Elitserien Round 5

    Excellent post Anders, cheers
  2. With all due respect to Brendan Johnson, is there any reason why he has been selected ahead of the likes of Josh Auty, Lee Smart and Kyle Hughes?

    World U21 Qualifier, Elgane Norway

Fair enough. Well done to THJ and to Linus for second place

    World U21 Qualifier, Elgane Norway

Correct me if I am wrong, but has THJ missed the Edinburgh meeting tonight because of this qualifier, even though it is on Sunday?
  5. I would hope that if Nicholls is still bang out of form come July that he will be dropped and another rider made captain - however the event is still seven weeks away. Would be foolish to make any rash decisions now. Its a great shame though that you want Rob to fail before he has even led the team into a meeting.
  6. Agree there mate, they were very good indeed Sorry I missed you yesterday, was too busy texting long and unfamiliar rider names to superguest for the updates site
  7. Had to laugh when Bridger was throwing his toys out everywhere, he tried to have a pop at Kozza's step father at the pits gate who just laughed at him as he bounced off his considerable frame And Fisher is probably worse Didn't realise you were there Dekker, you should have come and said hi ---------------------------------------------- Not a bad meeting, but as Shadders has said the delays didn't help matters, although of course unavoidable. The Poles impressed me today, my word they can gate.....the top three were the best by a margin, very unlucky for Joe Haines who would have breezed through too. Thought Kozza rode very well seeing as he only had his first full meeting of the season on Friday, with a little more composure he would have scored ten and grabbed the final spot. I like Lewis Bridger, he obviously has the ability but his temperament at the moment just isn't what it needs to be.....of course he is young and is no worse than Crump & Pedersen were at that age, but there was really no need for his histronics after his second heat. Managed to gather himself (with the help of Rob Lyon ) and scored the points required to get him through. Other unfancied riders like Smart, Courtney, Tregoning and Mudgeway got stuck in and certainly added to the entertainment. Wells rode very steadily and his gating wasn't as bad today as I was expecting....loks a decent prospect.
  8. Much rain your way so far Shadders?
  9. Yep, as long as my lift isn't put off by the weather
  10. Acoording to the BBC National Forecast the worst of the showers will have left the Rye area by midday.
  11. We usually find it easier to go via Harlow and through the 50p toll road which takes you straight to the stadium, avoiding Hoddesdon itself which you would encounter on the M25/A10 route.
  12. Indeed he has, but to compare any under 21 rider in the world to Emil is pointless at the moment...the kid is a one off. As with most Brits Woffinden (in his first final) and Bridger proved themselves to be naive on the continent in last year's final, but to say they are not prospective world class riders is a premature statement to say the least. As for the rest of the names in the line up, I couldn't agree more with you.
  13. With respect you do talk out of your bum. Bridger, Woffinden and Haines written off by you before they have reached their twentieth birthdays? That's your best one yet.
  14. You must be mistaken mate....according to dekker he is the devil incarnate who has no control over a speedway machine
  15. Presumably five go through....?
  16. You are quite right screamer....if Nicholls is riding like he was last night come July then I would hope that Rob would have the balls to not include him in GB's five. Have him as a non riding captain by all means, but as things stand I would go with something like Harris, Kennett, Rico, Tai and Bridger.
  17. Ought to be the Star's toughest home test of the year. However thats of secondary importance - remembering Ashley and celebrating his life is what its all about. Wouldn't miss this for anything!
  18. Looks like the Fakenham contingent will be coming down for this, to cheer the two Stars and the Brits on. Lets hope for a fine day!

I'm certainly no Pedersen fan but from where I was sitting on my sofa that looked like six and two threes. Would have had all four back.

Considering it was his forst time I thought he did ok....obviously there to talk about the Team GB squad, so may not be on again anyway.

Sorry guys, was being sarcastic...Millard said it so many times during the night that even Havelock & Heuwen were taking the mick Great performance from the boy, has balls of steel. Darcy beat him on his home track last Sunday though Brits poor, as was the track. Some things never change
