  1. Lots of good points here! Sam Ermolenko stated in GP last night that he was taking an interest in the british under 15's and mentioned a young lad by name (which escapes me at the moment - sorry), Sam also takes an interest in Ashley Morris at Wolves and helps out where and when he can. An American Guy Helping out the young Brits! Until someone like BSPA or similar takes a real interest and invests time and money in bringing young british riders through we will continue to be a poor relation when you look at nations like Australia, Sweden, Denmark, Poland etc!

    Kennett Suspended!

Sorry I don't agree! If athletes are found to have taken drugs to enhance performance they are banned for a lot longer than 7 days. If the silencer has been deliberately tampered with it was done to enhance performance, same thing in my eyes!

    Swc Changes Needed ?

Well Said Steve, there was loads of nonsense flying around: Emil not getting a Visa in time - didn't think he needed one as he has a Polish passport and manages to ride for Coventry every week!!!! Lagutas not having visas - did they only find out the week before that they were due to ride in Britain and needed one!!!! Dispute between Russian clubs and federation - sort it out children, you had plenty of time Seems we are in the midst of lots of Divas in our sport!
  4. I have sent you a personal message with details, good luck
  5. I have done exactly the same, boooked tickets online which took around 10 minutes, Row 1 upper tier just opposite to where we were this year which is fine. The hotel that we have stayed in for last 3 years take provisional booking when we check out for following year. They rang me as soon as date announced to see if I wanted to confirm booking (which I obviously did!!!!) AND no increase in hotel price despite it being bank holiday - FANTASTIC!!
  6. I know they did not announce the date on last nights TV coverage as they usually do but: - Can't imagine it would be Wembley due to Olympics, - No city etc within walking distance of Belle Vue - Never been to Glasgow so can't comment. I know it would be nice for Scottish fans but many of them come down for pairs meeting night before anyway. To me it seems crazy to move from Cardiff as there is plenty of accomodation, stuff to do etc. Folks can have a whole weekend of Speedway if they wish at Cardiff, Premier League Pairs at Somerset and Welsh Open at Newport before and after! Come on everyone, use your senses and strike a deal to keep it at Cardiff PLEASE!!!!!!

    British Gp Tickets

We received ours about 2 weeks ago, did get an e-mail saying they had been despatched a few days before too!
  8. We went to the Bydgoszcz GP in September and stayed in the lovely town of Torun. It is about 30 mins away on bus which costs 10zl (£2.50ish). Once you get off bus the track is about a 10 minute walk Only issue was getting back to Torun after GP as local buses finish at 8.30pm and a private bus company take over. They run a bus at 12 midnight so it is a bit of a long wait after GP has finished. Lovely hotel called Mercure Helios, very clean, pleasant friendly staff. 3 course meal for 2 of us on the Sunday night cost a total of £26 and that included drinks! Doesn't really matter where you sit/stand, we sat on 1st/2nd bend with a Polish couple one side and Danes on the other, all very amicable sharing beer and experiences. 3rd and 4th bend appeared to be primarily standing Polish supporters. Would certainly recommend as it is a great weekend! Hope this helps and happy travelling!!
  9. This weeks says that: * Bydgoszcz management just happened to be in Gelsenkirchen!!!!!, how convenient! * Riders are waiting for their compensation! Rightly so but where is the compensation for those who travelled! Told in letters from BSI that fans are not eligible for refund from BSI, The FIM or Veltins Arena!!! Wouldn't try to claim off Veltins, not their fault at the end of the day! Certainly think that Speedway Star have a vested interest in licking Mr Olsen's and Mr Bellamy's boots!!

    Gelsenkirchen Off !

Gp was good last night but a bit of a foregone conclusion as everyone thought! Plenty of Poles in the crowd, but didn't appear to be much of a representation from other nations!! Incidentally, in Speedway Star this week the following comments were observed * The Bydgoszcz management just happened to be in Gelsenkirchen, that was how it was able to be arranged so quickly! *Jason Crump stated that the riders were not consulted about the restaging and were waiting to hear about compensation as it cost them a lot of money to get there! Rightly so but how is it that the fans who paid ' a lot of money' have been told in their letters from BSI that: " As with all major sporting events, ticket holders are not eligible for refund of travel expenses by either BSI Speedway Ltd, the FIM or the Veltins Arena." Can't imagine that anyone would try to claim a refund from Veltins Arena, after all they cannot be held responsible for the incompetent numpties we have trying to run the GP's! This whole fiasco stinks of a stitch up and the powers that be should have a long hard think about the damage they have done to this sport.

    Gelsenkirchen Off !

Speedway World has information explaining about the Goodwill Tickets now.

    Gelsenkirchen Off !

We heard programmes had been printed with the Swedish line up and that is why they were not available. Also, QUOTE FROM SPEEDWAY STAR DATED 20TH SEPTEMBER - PAGE 36, starts: "Tony Steele will referree the FIM German Speedway Grand Prix" FINISHES WITH! "Incidentally, BSI Speedway are bemused by rumours circulating in Poland that the German Grand Prix would not go ahead. It will!" Anyone else find this strange!!!!!!
