Almost everyone can ride Belle Vue but not Newcastle, Edinburgh, Leicester, Ipswich etc. Its at these tracks he needs to learn his craft IMO.

Wish he would ride NL and increase his skill set on technical tracks. The more rides the better next season.

Good move, around August they started asking for a ridiculous amount of personal information they had'nt previously to buy a ticket. The first meeting after this change the pay at the gate queue was snaked round the car park. Never did get a reply as to why.

Joey Ringwood was ok during that era of sign anyone from overseas that can stay upright for four laps. A second season would have benefitted him though perhaps he didnt want to come back. Jayden O'Malley was too young when he rode for us and being in a crap team was under pressure to score points, like everyone else. A year or two later in a stronger team and with a bit more nurture he may have made a go of it. Riding once a week just isnt enough for riders wanting to develop.

He needs NDL experience at a technical track if possible, to enhance his skillset and become a better all round rider. Almost anyone can ride, or quickly learn to ride the big tracks.

    Edinburgh 2022

Need to learn to ride laydowns first .
  7. That would be a tragedy for Berwick if they have fallen for that nonsense. See Glasgow 2018.

Riss isn't reliable in 13 or 15 when the heat is on. Can't see improvement in him from what we've already seen.
  9. Cook summed it up at the end, if we cant go through with a 22 point lead we don't deserve to be in the final. Only cuffing the 0131 made the perishing cold bearable. Strange atmosphere tonight, you'd never have known it was a play off. All eyes on tomorrow night, we surely cant be as bad as last week.
  10. Outdoors standing the limit is 4000 before Covid passports. Even then they are only checking larger crowds at random despite the narrative.
  11. If we are to stand a chance tonight it starts from the gate. The most important part of a race at Armadale is between there and exiting bend 2/back straight. Come out ahead of them and you force them to make passes which few will other than Masters and Pickering. The other is watching each heat, seeing the track change and reading the racing. When the Monarchs are hammering round the outside at speed in the later heats yet Wells and Nicol persist at a snails pace on the dead inside line, wtf! Time to stand up, all of them.
  12. Worst team lost, cant go there and not gate when there is nigh on no passing after the second bend. Nicol and Jensen were bike lengths behind going into turn 1 in their early heats. Needs sorting for tomorrow.
  13. Reading the press release the groundwork has already been laid for Rowe not to be there, and there's Thomson getting one of his rides as well.
  14. Strengthens Leicester allowing them to choose guests up to 8.36. Hansi not exactly set the CL on fire.
  15. The 2 minutes regularly timed out in several heats and the riders were still not coming to the tapes. Inconsistent refereeing is one of my pet hates. MacGregor usually has none of it and excludes someone early on. It quickly changes rider behaviour. The worst refs let some jump starts go and call back others, sometimes in the same meeting!
  16. Should have been more, Sam seems to lose the plot if he has a poor first ride even if there is no pressure. Pickering must have been the only person in the stadium not to see the post ht13 track grade, watching him rip the throttle off Worrall's bike in ht14 thundering into corners trying to ride the boards and going backwards was a joy to watch. On another day he would have got double figures riding the only way it seems he can but the sign of any decent rider is being able to read the track and adapting to it. Thomson on the other hand had a very impressive show and must be nailed on for a return on 5.51. Sixteen points makes it comfortable although you never say never with the 0131.
  17. Racing incident IMO, Nicol did nothing wrong either. Kemp cut under Bailey just as Nicol was coming round inside, neither could have anticipated what the other would do, if they even saw each other. With the track being extremely slick to cope with rain you had to be aggressive to get anywhere, unfortunately another downside of October speedway.
  18. Steady! The Leicester promotion will use whatever manipulation is necessary to suit their needs/agenda at the time. Nice to see Dan T back riding and "illness" free.
  19. The old boy is probably just tired, he's been busy recently!
  20. Great meeting. Dr Dickson gave the sicknote to the wrong rider! At one point it looked like he wasnt going to send his riders out for the rerun of ht10. Kennedy put in a good shift at reserve and Morris got better as it went on. Hopefully the weather plays ball across the country this week, time is marching.
  21. He's fecking desperate to beat us. Watch out for a track inspection prior to ht10 if things arent going to plan. Its already clouded over and the track will be super slick which will suit Leicester. It'll could be painful to watch Andersen gate and park the bus on the inside line with no dirt for the racers to get round him.
  22. He's never prolific at GLA despite the odd decent ride. R/r would mean an extra ride for D Thompson and Douglas with the reserves taking the rest unless a TS is required. Dont see his absence or inclusion influencing the meeting in any great way.
  23. Never as slick as this IMO. Hopefully we will have another practice tomorrow, gating was poor tonight, Wells and Jensen not at the races.
