  1. Kent are very short on heat leaders at the moment with Heeps still struggling with a shoulder injury,,and Starke while consistant is not winning races as a heat leader should..this with rider replacement for the retired Bacon and Hurry  unable to score points,,all this plus ,replacement riders very thin on the ground suggests that unfortunatly the Kings .are going to find things very difficult unless things change,,.. and the sooner the better in my opinion.............

  2. No word on Hurry so i presume he is riding... Hopefully Heeps is back for this one,,,,and probably RR for retired Bacon ...still a tough one for kent ...Weather looks dodgy in the south ,not sure what it is like up north,,just hope it is still on.......with the shortage of available riders at this level i think there is going to be a lot of guests and RR every where this season........

  3. For Plymouth Danny King a , top replacement for Crump..Likewise Steve Worral for Heeps and top scored for Kent ..An exciting close encounter ,that could have gone either way at half time.. Scott Nichols consistent as normal as was Paul Starke,,like to see him win more races though to confirm him as a heat leader  ,,Reserve  Ben  Morley showed real aggression to earn his 11 paid 13 points ,, 3 wins in that total ,,which  earned him the rider of the night  award ..Young Dan Gilks would have  won another race if Hurry had not fallen at the back,,,,Dan then missed the gate in the re;run ,,Hurry showed dashes of pace but is falling too often on his own..i think there is a problem there,,,Cameron Heeps could be back next week and that will give us an idea of how strong the team is really going to be  at home,,,,If the racing is as good as yesterday you will not want to miss it next week,,,i cant wait !...........

  4. No home practise for Kent meant no home advantage at all...Glasgow in the main were sharper from the gate..Nichols excepted, who was the stand out rider all night ..Hopefully after this run out the Kings can show what they are capable of next week against the not so powerfull Plymouth side....How ever we may yet find  that the side falls  a bit short on heat leaders,,remains to be seen when Heeps returns from injury..at this stage we can but hope that is not the case...

  5. Even Nicholls and Stark took a race to get used to the track which had plenty of dirt on the bends ,,but was well prepared,,Unfortunately the rest of  the Kent side could not perform on it...The meeting was poor for good racing and once again Speedway does its self no favours with more long delays The Eagles look very strong all round at home with young Brennan and Lawson outstanding......Enjoyed the sunshine ,,even if the meeting was very dissopointing for the Kent fans in attendance.....

  6. The straights are narrow this combined with the adverse cambers on the bend exits are causing  lots of avoidable crashes....Both need sorting with the addition of more shale..Obviously the higher  standard riders will be able to cope better with the problem.if nothing is done....which looks the case..?

  7. False dawn the stadium it self is excellent ,,comfortable with plenty of seating under cover and a great view of the whole track..the problems I have mentioned do cause the odd crash, but the racing is fast and can be good,, and they have solved the problem of the curfew in the main,by having the parade before the meeting start time,,Hope this helps....

  8. I think Plymouth look initially stronger on paper but IOW do have several possible improvers in thier side...So we will have to wait and see how everything pans out over the season..wishing all the riders a good safe year of racing....
