    Speedway Lottery Funding

"for the 1st time", not everyone knows how lottery grants work, thats why i asked. Tell chris brown "It has nothing to do with overseas sportsmen and women" instead of picking on me. And i don't want your information, fencing and judo is a load of old garbage anyway.

    Speedway Lottery Funding

I don't like fencing or judo, i love speedway, thats what we talk about in a speedway forum? and i am not going to get in to a discussion or argument about this topic, i'm too old for that, If minority sports can get funding, then why not speedway.

    Speedway Lottery Funding

Just a thought....but would it be possible to apply for a lottery grant to buy some land, build a basic training track operating 7 days a week, and class the project as a "non profit organization"? I am looking in to this at the moment, but it seems if you are not a community football club, potential athlete, fencing or judo? (what a joke) they don't want to know. It can't be that difficult can it? I've seen suitable areas of land for £16-£20'000.

    2008 - A Year To Forget?

I can't believe thats the case "British riders will be off to poland, sweden, and russia (looking to be the new british elite league)" But unfortunately that is the case, i never thought that would ever happen. This is devastaing, why can't the powers that be, wake up and see whats happening?, we are in an emergency situation with this sport!

    My Thoughts On The Future

i think the sports finished, and thats that. every year for the last 20 years! we have the same problems, the same discussions, nothing changes, and things have just gone from bad to worse. This recession, which isn't even in full swing yet! will be the final nail in the coffin for our sport. There will soon be 2 million people on the dole, and that includes people i know who simply cant afford £15.00 to watch Coventry. At the end of the day, speedway tracks are a business, just like any other form of business, and if banks, factory's, and woolies couldn't make it through, what hope is there for a speedway track thats lucky to pull 500 people on a good night!. 2009 -on is going to be tough, so brace your self, this is just the tip of the ice burg.

You either like speedway or you don't? All the advertising in the world won't get me to a football match!
