Shortbutsweet

I was at this meeting and thought it was a fitting tribute to a true legend of the sport and all round nice guy. The organisers did a very good job and made sure that the crowd were entertained at all times, with junior races, Sam Ermolenko vs Ronnie Correy, the donut competition (there could only be one winner, although Shane Parker did pretty well too!) and even a bit of streaking from Mr Woffinden and Mr Parker. They must have been freezing... The centre green announcer had a bit of banter with the crowd, trying to get us involved and cracked a few jokes too. Although his dancing left alot to be desired ha ha. The racing wasn't as good as i have seen it at Wolverhampton previously, but there were some good races and the riders all put on a good show. Watch out for Dennis Andersson, one for the future. Such a shame his engine blew in the final race! All in all, an enjoyable day.
