    Polish Winter 2005/2006

Not really worth noting that foreign riders were in the lower league as they have little chance to do otherwise, plus they ride in the top league in their homeland.Hlib is on his way up,so they might just want to introduce him to the squad early? Maybe you are right and he has given up on the GP's,but he is just the sort of rider i was expecting to be in and go into the final of the GP quali.Concentrate on the European Championship maybe?.Anyway i hope we still get to see a lot of him here next year.

    Polish Winter 2005/2006

Won't that end his chances of getting picked for the Polish team or getting a nomination for the GP quali's,riding outside the Ekstraliga ?

    Kenneth Bjerre

Don't think there will be too many meetings in the Danish League even if another team replaces Fredericia.A lot of riders only do a few meetings in the Polish league as well,so it might not be too much to worry about.Wish him all the best on his recovery.

Stralsund 3.12.05 L.Linette W.Zurawski R.Mikolajczak R.Kowalski P.Vandirek A.Vandirek C.Hefenbrock K.Wölbert A.Minigalejev The line up isn't finalised yet.Supposed to be an international pairs and a meeting for Germans and then the best from both meet in the final. That is depending on the weather as it starts to get cold from tomorrow onwards by the look of it

    Ice Speedway

    Here is the Wilmersdorf site
  13. Well the Ice season is almost upon us.Seems the important news is that the World title has gone from 4 weekends down to just 2.The 25/26.02. in Saransk and the 11/12.03 in Assen. Was going to be another weekend in Russia but it seems to have been cancelled. Golden Spike series: 7.1 St.Johann im Pongau 8.1 Weißenbach 20/21.1 Flims(+Swiss championship) 28/29.1 Divisov(+Czech championship) 10.3 Assen 25/26.3 Erfurt 7/8.1 Russian championship Ufa 11/12.2 Russian Team final Saransk 18/19.2 Russian Junior championship Sterlitamak
  14. If the beaches caught your eye or not they are still there.Anyway,if Copenhagen didn't have beaches it still doesn't relate to Steve's point which you seem to have missed by a country mile.Prague and Copenhagen host GP's which are a 1 day meeting,2 if you include practice. There is really no need for the type of holiday facilities which Steve is saying would make the hosting of meetings for the SWC a better destination. For GP's people are in and out that weekend, there are no rest days in between where people could spend days on the beach. But it doesn't matter so much now that the tournament is again shared between a few countries.
  15. No,but look what happened to Fredericia in taking the title. To challenge Holsted you either overstrech your funds or like Outrup maybe hardly make an effort to run a competetive team but stay within budget. Similar thing happened here with Parchim.Ran out of money part way through the season and fielded a very weak side in the last quali round, even though they still had a good chance of going through to the final
  16. Seems to have forgotten that Copenhagen lies on the coast and that in this of all years was besieged by Nelson.Don't know if he landed on one of the beaches though
  17. Take a look at the map, plenty of beaches around Copenhagen, some probably within the city limits
  18. No garf,i wasn't saying PUK was in the top 3,thats why i put "top" like that.So called top 3,so to say,if they are the 3 riders riding for the World Championship.Hopefully with the qualification coming back it will be better next year, because as things are at the moment the strong nations(Sweden,Poland and Denmark)suffer by having a limit on the amount of riders in the GP. It also worries me a bit that Holsted have the 3 GP riders. Can't be good for Danish league speedway.
  19. Interesting that a lot of people are seeing Olsen behind the decision to swap Iversen for Andersen.Just a thought, but seeing as Nicki,Bjarne and Puk all ride for Holsted and Holsted seem to host most of the top meetings now in Denmark, maybe its the man in power there that has the big say in things.Wonder if there has ever been a team that has had all the "top" riders from one country.Remember Gorzow with Plech and Jancarz, but 3 riders. Just a thought

    Ice Speedway

Still can't make up my mind where i'm going.Think Berlin is the least likely, what with the weakness of the other teams and last years Team Europa stuff. The Russians could field a B and a C team and take all the top spots and it only needs an injury from one of the main European riders and ...... Assen would be my choice but it really has to be a last minute thing and that isn't so easy at Assen so maybe Inzell or Erfurt for me Funnily enough talking about 5 Brits training in Sweden, there is an invitation for up to 5 German riders to train with Jarmo Hirvasoja in Finland. He would then be prepared to help them throughout the season.

    Czestochowa

Fair enough! One of the local football clubs here, regularly publish plans for a new stadium and none have ever been started Think everyone has got bored of hearing the same thing for the last 20 years Well there's no turning back from that!

    Czestochowa

Looks pretty impressive indeed. That is just a model though, does it say it will be finished for the next season?Just wondering.Teterow have also published "plans" for their stadium which look very nice, but doubt they will be built.Obviously a Polish team have a much better chance of acheiving such plans.

    Polish Winter 2005/2006

Thanks Tommy, Yes the reason i asked about other countries was because i thought Miszkolc were being considered. What has happened to Lodz?Just a sponsor change or name change? Was the border trouble, travelling to Ukraine/Latvia less this year?
