  1. I've read that in here, nowhere officially, but can't understand the thinking behind it. Why give riders a second chance when cheating?

    Brummies 2024...

Seen a few "sign Zagar" suggestions. I'm not sure he'd be a great signing on a 7.20 average, as at Belle Vue he averaged 9.37 at home and 5.68 away. But even if he drops his average by virtue of not having the NSS as his home track, should still be better than Lampart. So this is actually a scenario where a team could happily sign a rider they expect to drop his average?
  3. For a GP / SWC I'd agree, could be the best meeting of the year. But a best pairs on a track not really suited for team riding, where the rider in second doesn't need to try to pass they guy winning, might not be as great a spectacle.
  4. For that reason I don't know why they only use one track. I would think they'd get more fans if it was held at different tracks as you'd get 2 or more sets of "home" fans attending, rather than some just attending the final?
  5. 1) there are far better ways to achieve that 2) this won't be the case in the Cardiff & Warsaw GPs. I find it odd they created a system for the reason you said, then qualifying can stop the GP winner being top scorer.
  6. For sure, no rider can complain about their gates, Jack Holder had 2 grid fours in the heats & top scored.
  7. Really can't understand the point of the scoring system, for example Woffinden 3 points = 1 GP point. If Woffy had fallen off instead of winning one race, he'd still score the same single point! Then you have Kvech, Wozniak & Vaculik all scoring 6 points, but Vaculik gets 2 more GP points than Kvech - is this really the best they can come up with?
  8. I'm sure Berwick fans will be pleased with the contributions of Schlein, Kemp, Hume & Borke, but they only scored 4 when replacing Etheridge. Now imagine the slating Jye would've gotten on here if he only scored 4!

    Oxford Cheetahs 2024

After last night's performances how about Riss & Jack Smith replacing Heeps & Atkins? Oxford Sam Masters 9.05 Scott Nicholls 8.54 Erik Riss 7.68 Jordan Jenkins 5.89 Jack Smith 3.00 Ashton Boughen 2.00 Luke Killeen 2.00 Total 38.16

Edinburgh V Berwick BSN Trophy 26th April

With a lower points limit every team should be weaker than last season. Any team that is close to last year's standard should do well.
  11. Glasgow big favourites to qualify now. Can't see them losing by more than 12 away.
  12. R/R should work well for Berwick, Schlein, Kemp, Hume & Borke should score as many as if not more than Jye
  13. Smith is only guesting for Scunthorpe, could sign for a team now.
  14. I've not seen any Oxford fans wanting him replaced because of his form. I merely pointed out with their averages going down, Riss would fit in place of Jenkins, so naturally Oxford fans would prefer Riss / a stronger team. Even if Jenkins was scoring his average, if a rider of Riss' calibre is available as a replacement & you want to win the league, easy decision to make imo
  15. What 2.00 rider would score more than Sam? Ryan Kinsley? Jody Scott? Maybe get you an extra point per match, but find a 4.00 rider who can keep their average, that'd be a bigger improvement.
  16. Sign Smith if Complin gets banned, no need to drop anyone else (yet)
  17. I think if both teams win at home, they'll both go through.
  18. You're not gonna get a better 2.00 rider than McGurk, so Liebmann is the obvious rider to be replaced if Workington want to strengthen up.
  19. Gilkes average is far higher than Glasgow's bottom 4, so no chance of him signing. I thought the same thing too about Boughen, by getting Killeen's minimum 3 rides "out of the way" Boughen had to go in 3 out of 4 races, probably tiring man & machine, so that wasn't clever.
  20. Redcar's reserves done their job tonight.
  21. Think you're gonna have to take that back!

The problem with Kye is he had a good first couple of seasons with Edinburgh, but hasn't gotten any better. Had he been a 4.00 rider, then 5.00, then 6.50 people would probably talk about him more. For example his season starting average was better than Zach Cook's, but Zach may finally overtake him this season.
  23. Workington's top 5 look really good, Redcar really need to heavily outscore them at reserve to have any chance over 2 legs.
  24. I thought Lynn had strong reserves pre-season, but they never seem to both go well at the same time. They are well below the limit, so could attempt to strengthen up there (if there's riders available to come in).

    LIONS v BIRMINGHAM 25/4/24

That was a really bad decision, Cook was doing ok at the time, so put him in - more chance off the gate that Milik off 15m, or give Flint his 2nd ride? Stewart Dickson did the same at Glasgow, giving Schlein a 15m heat & not giving Hodder his 3rd ride instead. Very basic mistakes being made (though not as bad as Peter Schroeck)
