DSC67 replied to Normski's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
That's been happening a few times. I commented about it to guy next to me asking him if he knew what had happened to The Wonderwheel , in my opinion it made a better job of spreading the loose material around -
Not been the best of weekends after Brad Jones's crash yesterday at Brands Hatch

There Used to be a Friday night meeting at Newport before the pairs moved to Somerset, the Welsh Open was held on the Sunday afternoon after the Cardiff GP

Any change in the weather ? Raining Fairly heavy here -
I'm much the same, if it wasn't for the fact I already had a season ticket which rolled over from last year I doubt I'd have bothered attending any meetings

Rosco's bike did the same in pretty spectacular fashion at Berrington Lough , there's a clip somewhere on You Yube -

Away from the obvious sad news there was some good WSBK racing this weekend, the sprint race especially . I hope Reading will be able to maintain a challenge on Rea , be nice to see a fight for the title

BERWICK v SCUNTHORPE (May 29th - 7pm) Championship
DSC67 replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
That was more comfortable than I expected, mainly due to The Scorpions bad luck with engine failures and falls, but that's the way Speedway goes . A good night for TJ he looked pretty fast and was made to work for his points, but a night to forget for Tero and Josh . Pretty solid scoring from the Bandits but I'd say Jye is maybe still feeling the affects of last weeks crash . A good confidence builder for next week and another tough looking fixture -

Another tough looking fixture for the Bandits. Hopefully they'll be a bit sharper than they were last week. -
100 WSBK wins for Jonathan Rea , fantastic achievement

Attendance Figures
DSC67 replied to dontforgetthefueltapsbruv's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I've never really understood that , most other sports publish attendance figures, football clubs brag about how many season ticket holders they have , Cricket Counties can tell you how Man members there are , yet in speedway the figures are more guarded than the Crown Jewels -

If you have a season pass do you need to book a space to stand ? -
Do you collect the season passes from the same spot as the previous years ?

Good to see John McPhee finally get some points

I'm not sure if it's still the case , but I thought than when a new owner/ promoter took over the BSPA usually wanted an experienced promoter to be on the license as well for the first year or so

None of the above , Monty Brewster is the man for the job
-
That's because his testimonial is usually organised by a committee separated from his club ( his employer ) so it's classed as a one of gift rather than earnings coming from his employer and is exempt from tax

Probably for the reasons as people refused to give their kids the MMR inoculation, I’ve been offered the flu jab numerous times and have always refused it
