Belle Vue Vs Wolves, Grand Final 2nd Leg, 5/10/16...
Soul Crew replied to Col's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
In regards to the use of the tactical sub in the Play Offs, Peter Adams noted in his programme notes against Poole that it was put forward that the TR rule be scrapped for the duration of the Play Offs, something that he didn't agree with pointing out that you can't go changing rules and formats just for the Play Offs. -
Wolves Vs Oxford Vs Birmingham Vs Cradley (retro Fours)
Soul Crew replied to lucifer sam's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Will be attending tonight for a fix of speedway but find it bad taste that Nigel Pearson is being quoted as saying that this event will give them an idea if Cradley fans will support PL racing, what a load of bull, why would any Cradley fan go tonight? Its nothing to do with there team, maybe if they had thrown in Tom Perry or A N Other maybe but to use the attendance tonight as an excuse to stay NL next season is a joke. -
Used to love Speedway Promoter was about as good as it could get for a management sim of our great sport, would love to fire it up again.

Where Is British Speedway Going.
Soul Crew replied to mc1874's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Have an independent body, but soon as a decision goes against a promoter and they threaten to shut up shop, what happens then? Would an independent body stand by and watch team after team fold? Speedway isn't a sport it's a load of businesses with contractors and hangers on. -
Lewis Bridger (depression)
Soul Crew replied to Daniel Smith's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Depression can affect in many ways, the pulling wheelies may have been his cry for help, feel a bit sad by some of the views on here. Mental health carries enough stigma without the tripe posted by some folk. Although I have been fortunate to have not suffered from depression, I have seen it's effects close up. -
Taking someone to Wolves in a couple of weeks, they are a student but are in there 20's. Question is do they still qualify as a concession? And also what kind of ID would they need, as apparently NUS cards no longer exist and most places just accept the colleges own id cards?
-
I was led to believe that only NUS Extra exists now?
-
Have you ever tried interacting with them? Blood and stone springs to mind. I had a group party of over 16 people (All newbies) who were interested going along and taking advantage of a group package last season and I gave up in the end due to a total lack of professionalism.

Leicester V Wolverhampton 29 March
Soul Crew replied to TMW's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I actually think what is going to stop Wolves this year will be Tai, if he picks up these niggling injuries again and sits out Elite League Meetings in order to defend his World Championship then its going to hit Wolves big time. -
Anyone else going tonight?

When Will The New Race Format Be Out & How Can Teams Name Riders When They Don't Know It?
Soul Crew replied to a4poster's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Great for fans, plenty of even match ups, some heatleaders pay packets are going to take a spanking though.... -
Who Was The Most Frustrating Rider?
Soul Crew replied to Ommer Mon's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Gert Handberg, how did he ever finish on the podium of a World Final?? -
Riding at home in EL on 24th March against Birmingham and then no home meeting till the 14th April?

Soul Crew replied to a4poster's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Be interesting to see who picks up Chris Harris on a 5.00 average in 2015.... -
I hope its not but lets be honest Tai is the World Champion, its very unlikely he will settle for the same deal as last year, Wolves need Tai more than Tai needs Wolves IMO.
-
Knew it wouldn't take long for you to appear with your charm offensive, certainly know how to make the paying public feel welcome. Bryn came on here and offered an insight into the reasonings behind the IOW predicament and I duly apologised, you come on here and throw insults. So would I now be more inclined to hand over cash to IOW or Newcastle.....hmmmm.......
-
Thank you for the insight, in that case I apologise as I didn't know the circumstances behind the IOW.

Buxton offered something in return, remember when air fences were introduced to the EL? Clubs each ran a challenge meeting to pay for the fence, has Chris Holder been approached? Even Belle Vue offered a "brick" in return for money....
-
Hmmm, ok I am not a real fan, maybe I am not if the criteria is allowing "clubs" to empty bank accounts of "real fans". Every year we get the scare mongering in the Speedway Star from various clubs and promotions that "Club X is in danger of not coming back to the tapes next year if we cannot raise X amount of pounds" I have full respect for a promotion like Buxton, who acknowledged the problems of raising finance for an air fence and put on a great novelty meeting to raise funds. Trust me, as long as fans are subsidising clubs, nothing is ever going to change.
-
I'm more saddened that its the fans who are asked to put there hands in there pockets yet again, and time after time the poor folk on the terraces are asked to dig deep on top of increased admission prices. Might sound harsh but if a club cannot afford an air fence then bye, and if we end up with no tracks left so be it, its the end of speedway, the paying public are taken for mugs. The only times fans should be approached is for the SRBF, end of.

Hans Andersen got fixed up early at Coventry

Good old Speedway, the only sport where everyone competes to be in the know or to claim to know more thant the next person.....
-
Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere but Wolves published there season ticket prices for next season and with a guarenteed 18 meetings they are only charging £250 working out to approx just over £13 a meeting, fair play to a promotion for thinking about fans pockets, although still baffles me why a speedway season ticket is non transferable (i.e. If I am out of the country I cannot give my season ticket to a mate for that meeting)

Credit Where Credit Is Due...

Noticed this is only for the first 10 applications? Belle Vue deal is not to bad as it gives you a programme each meeting too. -
