You say it was cheating. I call it gamesmanship.

Kent broke planning law that could have jeopardised the whole operation.

    Huge difference.

    Gamesmanship/cheating....all the same!

Winds supporters up when it is so obvious.

Just shows how mad Len was to do it!

My complaint is Kent Speedway picking and choosing when to implement the curfew.

Seems to me that the word curfew needs no room for interpretation, no latitude.

Actually, by going over the 8.30pm deadline, Kent Speedway put themselves at risk and probably gave ammunition to the people who oppose the operation.

So how long after the curfew was this?

I have only been to meetings that stopped on time or just a few minutes over!

Likewise and this is what concerns me about the now mandatory ticket booking in advance.

What done it for me was a meeting at Lakeside a few years ago, dodgy forecast meeting started but did not finish because of torrential rain.It rained so hard we delayed going back to car,and when we did the car park was flooded! :D

Like, I think, lots of fans, the weekly "fix" of racing is important to me.  I know that some tracks have big gaps between meetings and one of the

best things since I started to drive down the M2 is that it is every week.  If Kent only did Championship that would not happen IMO.

As I said...never say never...the Royals could be at home and weather lovely so I may well go. :D

I think it is very bold of Kent to operate two teams. It shows a policy of growing their own riders for the future. Riders like Gilkes and Mulford and for me that holds

great interest as we watch them improving.  To a degree ( and only my personal opinion) the price of admission is not a factor in deciding. whether I attend or not.

I am fortunate in having enough to be able to afford to go.  If I did not have the money, a £10 admission would still be too much. For me, a good night out for £20.

My first post for a while as just moved and no internet.

Agree EEF that the price would not stop me going...but I still think NDL is a £10 meeting.

For myself I am really looking forward to the Championship...very much doubt I will go to any NDL meetings (never say never though). :D

I think we are in for a brilliant season of racing with the teams that have been built.

The stand out team for me is the all British Eastbourne side. They look solid from 1-7 & have potential  race winners in every race. A huge home track advantage aswell but i was surprised not to see Scott Nicholls line up for the Eagle this season.

Leicester look to have built a solid 1-5 which will benefit the Turbo twins x2 with less pressure to score points but I also believe they will compete at this level. So a safe play off place for The Lions.

Poole are very much a 3 man team with alot of unknown quantities in their side . Add to the fact IMO Schlein & King are on a downward spiral I think they will be in the scrap for the final play off Spot if I can’t believe how some Poole fans think they will drop down & it is a formality they will run away with the league with the side they have named #deluded

I do like the look of Glasgow they have clearly for the cheque book out again for another attempt to buy a league title , if they get Ostergaard & Sedgeman to fire they will safely make the play offs

I am going for a dark horse to make the play offs Scunthorpe . If they find a good replacement for Jake Allen then they will be a force, With Palin at reserve & Aarnio & Jorgensen in the middle order I think they will sneak into the play offs. Auty can lead the team as a number 1 its going to be can he get the back up from Numbers 3 & 5.

    So my tip

    1. Eastbourne

    2. Leicester

    3. Glasgow

    4.  Scunthorpe

    5. Poole

    6. Redcar

    7. Edinburgh

    8. Plymouth

    9. Berwick

    10. Kent

    11. Berwick

    12. Birmingham

    13. Newcastle

Berwick are going to be busy?

Open and honest about pricing and pricing aspirations too. Excellent treatment of season ticket and 10 in advance ticket holders. Also standalone prices for NDL are exactly where they should be for the level of racing. Eastbourne leading the way once again.

Agree....Wish Kent was so forward thinking.

Also wish would do the 10 meetings tickets?

And £10 is the correct price for NDL...imho.

Good to get the news from another ex-Arena convert. It will be interesting, to say the least, to see how the great riders you mention handle the track at

Central Park.  Pleased to hear that those familiar with Cameron Heeps consider him to be a top guy.  I have never seen him ride ( that I can remember).

I am not really a convert....living in Kent the choice was AE or nothing......I started to go regular to Speedway after the likes of Crayford,Canterbury were no more!

Makes sense with such a reduced fixture list its reduced to just a hobby for some although Jenkins with a NL+CL place and still working will be hard on him. Not seen any news on the admittance yet but a hard sell to get £15 for a less than £10 team.....going to likely boost the Kings attendances though so maybe the masterplan will work after all.

Personally I am really interested in the Championship team.I have been calling for years for higher grade Speedway and there is some decent riders to see.

Got fed up a bit with watching wobblers every week and the delays this caused.

Still think this year is about getting the sport going again...much more than winning things.

Agree about admittance....this NL team is no more than £10....but glad to pay whatever to see Scotty & co against decent riders.

Must have jumped to league winners Eastbourne

Apparently Hagon and Jenkins wanted a week-end team due to work commitments.

You maybe right about Warren, but sounds like they were forced to go for him instead of spooner?

Does seem strange that Kinsley is at KL....and NL!!!!

That team would take some stopping too be fair and looks much stronger than anything built so far. Not sure if the bridges are still burned for Harris as Len doesn't forgive easily and was upset when Luke declined to be a club asset.

Agree that team would be the team to beat...all riders could put a point or two on their average. Also agree not sure we would see Harris back?

    This team fits:

    Kent

    1 Dan Gilkes 8.00

    2 Jordan Jenkins 6.55

    3 Rob Ledwith 5.93

    4 Luke Harris 5.36

    5 Jacob Clouting 3.16

    6 Jake Mulford 3.00

    7 Sam Hagon 3.00

    Total 35.00

Whether you are spot on or not.....well done for getting a team with exactly 35.00!

  13. So sorry that IOW are not racing this year.

I thought that this year was all about just getting the sport going again after last years no go.With later start and less fixtures, hopefully we can look forward to a much brighter 2022.

Then Swindon,Somerset and IOW are back...and some time in the future Lakeside,Bradford,Workington and more perhaps can emerge???

Eastbourne have published provisional NDL dates. Seems it will be up to the authorities to decide whether they want an Eagles second team in NDL. Kent doing it so cannot see any reason why not.

More Kent v Eastbourne meetings, and Spooner looking for a team place? :D:t:

Whats the alternate day for NL? Can't be enough Bank Holidays to cover the fixtures and inevitable rain offs?

As things stand there is six teams in the NL....Kents fixture list has five spaces for home NL fixtures???

I thought there was talk of a couple of teams joining League?
