Full paying adult £18, 60+ £16, 16/17 year olds £5 15 and under free.
No reason why Kent cannot do a concession for the 60+.........me!

He will not be laughing if it effects crowds....and by the feedback I have seen it has upset a lot of Kent supporters.

Same here....I was so looking forward to the Championship but those prices are a real kick in the teeth.Len and Kent have got this so wrong!!!!!!!!

And if anything like previous seasons will be a very basic programme!
At those prices I will also be choosy on meetings I attend.- 1

Absolutely.....and where is the ten meeting ticket?
Probably why a delay in announcing prices....so expensive???? -
I am in shock.Got the same feeling when we lost Lee Richardson.
RIP Danny.

Any chance Kent will do the 10 meeting tickets like some other Clubs?
Think it would be popular....I would invest! -

Why is the Kent line up such a secret?

6 minutes ago, Rebel1 said:Bueherb777 I understand your thinking and though the bends have the width it is more a case of the straights being rather on the narrow side that I perceive to be the bigger issue. As for carrying more speed, the more experienced riders know how to set things up to accommodate the track peculiarities. I think that times will not be substantially different and that track record will take some knocking back. Luke has ridden the perfect line around that raceway without worrying it. Personally, when it was announced I disbelieved it and still do today. Whatever, it will remain as the NL track record and for the purists a new one will be accredited to the Championship.
Time will tell how riders cope with it in the Championship.I can see one of the top boys in the Championship flying around there and doing an unbelievable quick time!

a tractor backwards with spikes ripping up the track. What surprised me though was the width of the track in the corners, so I don't see
how Blueherb777 can get his wish.
I say this as so many riders have difficulty when entering the second and fourth bends,I just wonder what it will be like with the extra speed of Championship Speedway? That’s all.

Liked to know admission prices and other tickets....ST and hopefully ten meetings ticket?
Cannot see any alteration to track.....I would like to see wider bends which would make for better racing IMHO -
Wonder when Kent name the rest of the NDL team?
When do fixtures come out?
And when are admission prices/ST etc announced?
That all!

A real disaster??????
Kent have two teams next season,so a full fixture list.Kent will...and have plenty of young talent in their NDL team.
Personally looking forward to the Championship....top riders to watch and ex kings coming back.
The only disaster is no Lakeside, stoke, workington, buxton, rye house etc etc

Hopefully a team with young upcoming racers.

Also the New name for the NDL side is going to be decided by a school competition. Like Teaboy I think this should stay the same with a New name for the senior side.
But the Club are the Kent Kings....so the senior team should be the Kings?
As you say there is a competition to name the NDL team.

That’s Belle Vue. Think it will be Kestrels.

Powerful top three....really looking forward to Pirates trip to the Kings!

8 minutes ago, Sings4Speedway said:That group with Jenkins & Gilkes would leave Kent around 6 points under the limit. Its interesting that Ablitt & Wood did similar things last season but because of averages Wood is on the naughty list an Ablitt is not.
Sounds a lot under, but strong top three and ablitt and Mulford would improve no end.
-
1 hour ago, Islander15 said:Couldn’t Gilkes & Jenkins be the top 2?
I think you could be right.Would Ledwith, spooner, mulford clouting and ablitt fit in ????
-
Top 4 for me looks like.....redcar,leicester,glagow and poole (bound to be strong).
But I also think Kent will surprise a lot of people.

My family had dogs trained by John Annett (attached to Oxford) and Gary Baggs (Walthamstow) in the late 80s/early 90s. I trained a few myself, racing mainly at Rye House and Milton Keynes.
I'm guessing not everyone on this forum will appreciate this foray into greyhound reminiscing. I will always see football, speedway and greyhound racing as the 3 great working class sports of the 20th century (not necessarily in that order!).
I do remember the winner of the Oxford Gold Cup that year (1995) was a local dog.....track knowledge always helps....but cannot remember the dogs name?
Early Times also reached the final of a competition at Hall Green (again no luck in final),smashing dog won opens all over the place....hove,hackney,ramsgate and more.

Early Times....trained by Kevin O’Connor (private trainer but did run some dogs at Canterbury)
