Welcome to the Premier League, Poole....
-
Heeps next?
-
The fact that someone else (maybe even 2?) had posted his name about a week before suggests this person wasn't very in the know at all. Sad.
-
Yeah and that's what makes Janowski and Hancock, at the very least, boring riders. Look at the reaction on social media etc, and here, and see what this has done for many fan's passion for speedway next season. Who cares if he's a bit hard now and again, he's pure excitement.
-
It is, I could see it happening.
-
Best thing to happen to British Speedway in years and years. This is what it's all about, big names and proper crowd pullers.
-
Birmingham?
-
Many thanks.

It's probably something obvious I've missed but can someone explain the new fixed points scoring system? Clearly the final is easy, 20-18-16-14, then I assume 3rd/4th in the semi get 12 and 11 respectively. So who gets 10, 9 & 8? If everyone 9th-16th gets 8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1? Or are the points handed out after the meeting has been completed?

Is Jordan Palin ready for Championship speedway?
JCookie replied to DC2's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Bickley, Flint, Smith and maybe even Kemp last season proved that the PL is not an easy league. I'd imagine, unless Palin is something special, then he'll probably average around 3/4 which isn't too bad. Just underlines how good Woffinden was to do what he did. -

18 rounds in the Premiership? Will there be 10 sides? Otherwise, I'm interested to see what impact speedway being on free to air TV will have, even if just highlights.
-
Any chance of a face lift on the inside of the magazine now, given the outside has been attempted?
-
I don't think you'd need peak Holder or Ward, or even any GP riders. Grajczonek, Kurtz and Holder have been PL number ones, Klindt/Covatti are extremely good second/third heatleaders and even Wells would clean up at reserve. I don't think any PL side could beat Poole and I would confidently say Newcastle would have 0 chance - they can't even beat most PL sides.
-
Of course, my mistake, got my Andersens and Jensens mixed up.
-
Would you ever consider writing a book about your time in speedway? I'd like to see more after Woffinden's effort.
-
Honestly? Who would Bickley/Bailey/Jensen x2 beat often enough in the Poole side to give them a run for their money? The same applies to Leicester, although they might have a slightly better chance. The gap is smaller now than it was but the top 4 in the EL would beat any PL side. Their top 5s are essentially all PL number ones, if not more. FWIW, even though I disagree, I can see Shovlar's point. It's like a Premiership side dropping to league one and then expecting all their fans to show up - being a "die hard" isn't enough for some.

The reaction from the rider suggests it was something quite serious - could this have been to do with Sam Norris's unfortunate accident?

GP Challenge Final (Gorican) - 24/08/19
JCookie posted a topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Not long now until one of the biggest meetings of the year, this could make or break next season's GP given the (poor) standard of the line-up. I've been able to get the following together based on posts on here, seems very little considering it's a fortnight away. Martin Vaculik Matej Zagar Niels-Kristian Iversen Craig Cook Peter Ljung Chris Harris Robert Lambert Pontus Aspgren Anders Thomsen David Bellego Mikkel Michelsen Max Fricke Martin Smolinski Kenneth Bjerre Aleksandr Loktaev Jurica Pavlic Will Lambert be fit for this? Will Harris manage to get back in? Fricke, Bjerre and Vaculik will go through for me. -
As predictable as it would be if Kemp signed for Leicester, there must be some action from the BSPA to stop this type of thing in future. We thought the relegation playoff was bad, it's only getting worse!
-
Always felt THJ would've been a real top rider but something just didn't seem right. Even though he did achieve GP status, I think he was never quite the same after his father's untimely death.

Birmingham Brummies 2019
JCookie replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Mildenhall 2007 v Birmingham 2019 would be a match for the ages. 27 a side. -
There must be more to this than meets the eye. Sheffield have done nothing proactive all season, including giving a rider to Leicester, so why bother with a needless change now when the season is over?
-
You just have to understand that not everyone is such an important person and gets all the inside information ().

Ha, my mistake. Top 9 / top 10.
