We are going with a strong top 5, that is if we can keep everyone fit a team to win at home.

4:76 was his average from Belle Vue 2022. That was his last average.

Tobiasz Musielak has been released by Sheffield would make a decent signing.

Dan Gilkes or Jason Edwards? Would be happy to see either in the team next season. But given a push I would go with Dan Gilkes.

Sad to see Tobi go. I would imagine that all of the clubs that will be competing in the Premiership next season will be looking and sounding him out for a team spot next season. Top rider and Top bloke.

Had a look on You Tube at the race between Nicki and Chris in the Semi Final. Pinny is right Chris was fortunate not to be excluded.

Not that I think it is true, but if the plan is for No Rising Star, 6 man teams and with a limit of 42 points. My Team would be; Jack Holder 8:91 Tai Woffinden 8:47 (British Reduction 8:26) Chris Holder 7:16 Josh Pickering 6:78 Kyle Howarth 5:55 (British Reduction 5:41) Lewis Kerr 5:45 (British Reduction 5:31) Total 41:83

Incorrect Etheridge's final 2022 Belle Vue average was 4:76.
  13. Quick question for Ipswich fans. If you could only keep one of either of Jason or Emil who would you choose to keep?
  14. Very interesting with predicted teams. Couple of points to put out. (1) If they go with the same points limit as last season, the limit last season was 39 points for the top 6 of the team. So the Kings Lynn and Ipswich teams that you have put together would be over the limit. (2) James Pearson is an Aussie, and will not be part of the Rising Star Programme so a different Rising Star needed for Birmingham. On the subject of Rising Star riders I am amazed that you have not thought about any of the clubs would sign Jason Edwards or Jordan Jenkins.

Funny because I could have sworn you said that he had already signed a contract for next season.

So he has signed a contract already. For team which team Oxford or Birmingham, make you mind up.

I would expect the Rising Star programme to continue, so I think you can count out Lee Complin of that team. I would also say that since he came back to the sport Lee is a Championship reserve standard, he was a terrific, exciting rider in past, but past is the past.

Lets see what the AGM brings, but if the points limit stays at 39 points for the top 6 riders I would go with either of the following teams. (1) Jack Holder 8:91 (2) Lewis Kerr 5:31 (3) Josh Pickering 6:78 (4) Kyle Howarth 5:41 (5) Tai Woffinden 8:26 (6) Jye Etheridge 4:00 (7) Jason Edwards or Dan Gilkes or (1) Jack Holder 8:91 (2) Adam Ellis 5:57 (3) Josh Pickering 6:78 (4) Kyle Howarth 5:41 (5) Tai Woffinden 8:26 (6) Jye Etheridge 4:00 (7) Jason Edwards or Dan Gilkes
  19. Putting aside all the accusations. This was cracking meeting in tricky conditions, and probably one the best meetings I have seen in these kind of weather conditions, and I applaud all of the riders all putting an shift for their teams. In previous post I said that we had to show the same spirit as the team did in meeting 30th September 2010, and fortunately they did just that. This is what is good about British Speedway is all about two teams with totally differing types of track, going at it hammer and tongs trying to get the better of each other, the away teams trying on tracks that are not suited to them. There has to be one winner and fortunately it was my team, but lets be honest it could have easily been the other way around, and it went down to last heat decider. Ipswich made us fight all the way for this win and boy did fight to win, but there supporters can proud of the fight that they put up. At Sheffield we know what it is like to lose in the Final happened to us last season and it hurts, but you come again and maybe next year it will be your turn to lift the trophy. To all Ipswich I wish all the best and hope to see you next season. But for now. We are the Champions We are the Champions,
  20. Firstly where these fans stood? Because I was stood maybe 70 yards away from where the majority of the Ipswich supporters were stood and did not see anything, but that is not to say it did not happen. If it did it is wrong and apologise on behalf of Sheffield supporters who can control there emotions and not let the club down with their behaviour. What I won't accept is someone coming on here and labelling all of us in the same boat, we are not and you should not be coming on here and accusing us all been the same. I will bet that you can go to any track in the country and you will find that there will be fans that just cannot behave.
  21. We have left ourselves a mountain to climb, and it is certainly advantage Ipswich. But Stranger things have happened, and if we can get off to a good start who knows he might just pull it off. I see people speculating that Jason Doyle may be missing due to injury. I would be very surprised if does miss the meeting, love him or loath him Jason Doyle is one of the bravest riders out there, my guess is he will be riding.
  22. Absolutely correct it was the night we came back from the dead to beat Monarchs.
  23. Well its advantage Ipswich. The plan had to be keep it tight and we managed that for a short while, but wilted in the second part of the meeting. My view Hume should have been excluded in heat 4, he cause the the tangle between him and Doyle, and luckily he did not cause Doyle injury. Emil in my opinion did the equivalent of a professional dive in football, but to be honest if it was a Sheffield rider I would want him to do the same. I am sure that there will be people complaining that a team that finishes 4th in the league are likely win the league, but we all knew the rules when we start season and no one should complain. For the meeting on Thursday we need the Sheffield spirit of 30th September 2010. But congratulations Witches you have one hand on the trophy.
  24. 2021 one meeting rode, one meeting missed (Sheffield won both meetings) 2022 one meeting rode, one meeting missed (Sheffield won one and lost one) 2023 rode in both meetings (Sheffield lost both) 6 meetings in total Rode 4 meetings Missed 2 meetings

I believe that at a recent fans forum at Birmingham, the fans were told that there is an 80% probability that Birmingham will run next season, and if they do it will be in the Premiership as the only available race night will be Monday. They also said that there was a 20% chance that they will not run at all,
