  1. If there is any chance that Peterborough can run next season, it looks as though a New Promoter/ Owner needs to be found, as it looks as though Buster does not fancy the fight to keep the club alive. So before you start looking at riders for next season should not be looking for a Promoter/ owner first.

    Guess Where?

Correct on both rider and track. March 2020 the photo was taken and Doug would have been 72 at the time. Well Done. Sorry folks just realised I posted in the wrong section/

    Guess Where?

Guess who this one is? Clue rode in a World final in the 1970's. And the leathers he is wearing in the photo are nothing like the one's he wore in 70's.

    Sheffield Tigers 2023

I am actually take exception to that last comment; Before the Grand Final started I posted the following on the Belle Vue v Sheffield Grand Final 1st leg thread. For me Belle Vue start as rank favourites, and the Play Off Finals could be won by heat 10. The signing of Robert Lambert number 4 in the world gives Belle Vue a massive advantage, they already had a decent side already either with Fricke or Rider Replacement. Bringing in Lambert who has fallen into Belle Vue's lap is a Masterstroke, is it cheating? I don't think so. Will it make for a better more exciting Final? I don't think so. To start quoting Lambert's record and the fact that he has not rode Sheffield for a number years is bull crap, he is the World Number 4 for a reason. Sheffield are new to the top league, and in our 2nd season we have made the Final, on step further than last season so the club is progressing. And after the 2nd leg had been raced I posted the following; Congratulations to Belle Vue in winning the Play Off Final. The atmosphere on the night was electric, and credit has to be given to the Aces supporters who turned out in numbers. Its a pity the camera's did not capture the atmosphere, as I can tell you the atmosphere was there. The Aces supporters celebrated Polish style with smoke bombs and flares, which I did not mind apart from the smell, which smelt like dog rubbish. The referee decisions were in my opinion mostly correct after looking at the replays on the phone. I think Belle Vue came into the meeting to simply defend the 12 point lead and frustrate the Tigers, and we were chasing the in the meeting all night. But cannot fault our riders who put in 100% effort, but the Aces were just to good for us over the two legged final, and the signing of Robert Lambert as I suspected swung the advantage to Belle Vue. We now move onto the League Cup Final as consolation winning silverware against Kings Lynn so we are still in with a chance of winning something. Finally for me the Play Off's should stay, the tension and excitement that they create means they should stay. Post liked by many Aces fans, and was responded to by one Aces in the next post with these comments; Brilliant and honest post from a Tigers fan. A breath of fresh air. And who posted that comment? Aces No 5.

I would say Kerr to Leicester would make sense. Not too sure about Adam going in for either Sedgie or Worrall. Or maybe a change of track might just be the change he needs.

Tai is a decent replacement for Jack Holder, in fact given the choice of the two I would go with Tai. Chris Holder for Adam Ellis should improve the team, Adam has been off form all season. Vissing for Kerr, won't be a popular choice. Vissing is not a popular rider at Sheffield.
  7. Take it you live on Fantasy Island.

I am not sure. I thought it was a minimum of 3:00 for Championship, 2:00 for Premier.

The only way I can see us keeping Jack Holder, Toby and Wuffy, would be to drop both Pickering and Ellis. The team would look something like this. (1) Jack Holder (2) Kyle Howarth (3) Tai Woffinden (4) Lewis Kerr (5) Tobiasz MUSIELAK (6) Ashton Boughen (Based on a 2 point average) (7) Dan Gilkes (Rising Star) Not sure that would make the team any stronger or not.

The only way I could fit in Tai based on a 39 point limit and using British 2.5% reductions . Also would depend upon brining in Dimitri Berge. Team being the following; Tai Woffinden Jack Holder Tobiasz Musielak Kyle Howarth Connor Mountain Dimitri Berge (Reserve) Dan Gilkes (Rising Star) Stronger top 3 Weaker Middle Order Still a a strong reserve. Jack

To be honest after seeing Jack Holder crash out at the weekend I was half expecting this signing. And probably the best signing that we could have made under the circumstances. Tai over Jack Holder makes us weaker, but stronger than using Rider Replacement. Welcome back to Sheffield.
  13. This is working for me
  14. Robert Lambert seemed to manage okay. As does Emil for Ipswich.
  15. Yes I remember the night well, and Dave could not have been as honest and open as possible, and he went up in my estimation as a speedway Promoter. I would recommend any Stars fans to speak Dave, he as Halifax said approachable, friendly and as honest as he possibly be can be, and would be worthwhile especially by the fact he has posted on here that he wants fans to speak to him.

    Peterborough Panthers 2023

Poland will always be the main priority for Pedersen as it is where he earns his big money, and it looks like to me as though his Polish club has put their foot down on riding in UK especially with his crashes and injuries he had endured it recent seasons.. His next priority would Denmark probably down to the fact he has numerous lucrative sponsorship deals. I think that a return to ride in this country was a bit fun and some fairly easy money to earn. Its is difficult to see who they will bring in to replace him, riders of Pedersen's calibre will be hard to find. Chris Holder would have been a possibility, not quite up to Pedersen's standard and I think that they may have burnt bridges as far as Holder is concerned.

    Kings Lynn 2023

I think that you find with KK in the UK he has done well when he has had two solid heatleaders in front of him. If you are asking him to be in your top two he has and will fail.

    Sheffield Tigers 2023

Well he was originally line up to ride for Peterborough, so it must have been in his mind that he wants to ride in the UK. I believe him and Jack live in the same house over here, so he could travel up with Jack.

Options for the club whilst Toby is getting fit, Rider Replacement Holder, Ellis, Bellego and Howarth can all take hid rides. Or possibly Signed Chris Holder on a 28 day contract as cover,
